Can you explain why (I don't know much about coding or BYOND). Is it that the WAV/MP3 is too loud? Is the sound effect not editable (i.e can we not just export the file and alter it)? Or is there another reason?

If I'm playing late at night, I genuinely find myself reaching for the volume controls at the start of the round to avoid waking up the whole street.

Any chance someone could fix the volume please?

I think a mentor button is a good idea. Maybe allow several regular/volunteer players and admins on each server to have access to the chat, so it doesn't disrupt OOC and can be used for answering questions that don't directly need an admin.
Also if admins are offline, regular players can help?

Lower the false report chance by about 1-3% , that way 'most' reports are accurate. Don't announce greenshifts as being greenshifts (i.e being threat free) - put greenshifts in a low security threat category. Then let HOP/Cap buy the data later for more accurate results. ^ Low/medium/high is more sinister than the actual colours. I like it.
Following on from my above idea, maybe that's all we get at round start, then if someone pays whatever, then we get a final report?

And yeah low could include greenshift, without telling anyone it's a greenshift.

Threat Reports are also a really cool feature, I think. Maybe shifts like a Blue Star can leave it on Green Alert to start, since it's just information of enemy movements in the wider sector? I should add I have nothing against Greenshifts, but IMHO nobody should know they're Greenshifts. Keep that scary factor up. (EDIT: Not sure how that would work with the star announcements?? I should add I have nothing against Greenshifts, but IMHO nobody should know they're Greenshifts. Keep that scary factor up.

(EDIT: Not sure how that would work with the star announcements?? [replace green star announcements with whatever one has the next lowest threat?])

I agree that threat is broken and I also agree that Greenshift announcements are a bad thing. The nature of the game is creeping paranoia.
Having zero threat gets old quickly. As does 'here have another dragon + blob + shadowling'.

Maybe we need more antags or events similar to rods/meteors etc.

I think personally the dynamic scaling on Manuel needs 'fixing' and Sec need a bit more leniency from the admins. If Manuel is to be encouraged to continue to be an RP server, we shouldn't be really punishing players who RP as strict or lenient, or even tyrannical or cowardly variant of HOS if the s...

I disagree that you can't RP with Jeff. Sure he can get a bit of tunnel vision, but my experiences of playing with him is that he's a well coordinated, intelligent and funny dude and I DO think he's toned his style down. There's been several times where I've tested the waters with him and gotten off...

The admins were genuinely shocked to see us both there, laughed about it a bit, then teleported us back to the mainland and told us never to do it again. I don't often comment on ban reasons, but this is some bullshit banning. I personally would have fought to the death, but if you're literally surrounded by cult and almost in crit, I can see why someone would surrender.
