Re: Kinetic accelerator for Ripley
@ShadowDimentio, have you used a Ripley equipped with a plasma cutter? They have the same damage as a KA but at longer range. Are you saying that the Ripley, being only one speed level slower than a human (in low pressure), immunity to ash, tentacles, freeze bolts, and fire breath, are awful at comb...

It's less mobile, it doesn't have a ranged option, it needs charging, repairing a mech is more difficult than healing yourself, and most importantly, you have to bug science to make it. Responses in order: 1. Strafing mode + Faster in low pressure. 2. Plasma cutter . 3. Well, it IS a mech; Make sur...

We were just talking about this in deadchat, and it would be really cool if you could change door permissions (what groups can open the doors and what-not), rather than just having to change the permissions a person has from HoP. Re: Turning conversion modes into non-conversion modes.
One of my favorite parts of conversion modes is how they involve the whole crew and not just a select number who won the grief lottery. I feel like this would make the rounds less fun for the majority, especially with the suggested changes to revs. This right here is why I love conversion modes. I ...

Re: Can somebody please make a guide on compiling runtimesta
As I said before, the extra (non-station z-level) maps are compiled after the dmb. Your map selection does not affect compile time of the dmb, but if you do not load the extra z-levels, you can skip compiling them afterwards. Your total compile time will decrease because you are not compiling the ex...

Re: Can somebody please make a guide on compiling runtimesta
that's what i normally do, but it doesn't improve compile time. I think MisterPerson was talking about something else. Compile time of the dmb is not affected by maps, but after compiling the dmb, the extra maps are compiled - this is avoided if you disable them. Additionally, the game starts much,...

selecting runtime doesn't seem to improve compile time, only round loading time That's because maps aren't compiled in, but loaded at runtime.
