No fuck off ion laws aren't a justifiable reason to desync the borgs, 99.9% of them are harmless anyway. Is it any better than using meteors to justify reinforcing the containment fields so it's harder to sabotage? It already takes AT LEAST 2 meteors to break normal containment, let alone special 1...

A meteor is unlikely to ever cause containment to fail, the engine is heavily reinforced such that no reasonably sized meteor could destroy it. It's half-and-half, really. Adding sneezing to it just irks me. Sure, it increases the spread, but not everyone actually wants a virus for some reason; forcing it on them is pretty bad. That, and you can fit another good symptom in instead of sneezing. Toxic filter/toxin compensation/self-respiration/ocular restoration/stimul...

To be fair it can be difficult to keep up sometimes.
It really annoys me when i'm banned, along with half the server, because bans are broken. Good thing that doesn't happen often, right? Right?

There is a very easy way around this for black powder in that it's explosion is technically another reaction that only requires black powder and occurs at it's detonation temperature, so you can preheat the ingredients for it, stick them in a grenade, and it'll instantly react to form black powder ...

Both pyrosium and CLF3 will work if they're just in a beaker, but I've tested it and neither actually work in grenades, because grenades work weirdly. Essentially grenades create a temporary beaker with the combined capacity of the beaker in it, mix the reagents in it and react them, potentially in ...

Re: Simple Questions Thread
I though that anything that isn't just a reaction/chain reaction in a grenade doesn't work. Eg, you can't make a grenade that has black powder and CFL3, because the CFL3 has to react first and heat up the black powder, and then the black powder has to react again to detonate. Same goes for cryostyla...

Re: Small virology change
There are absolutely sensible ways to do virology that involve using synaptizine. Essentially, the ultimate limiter in virology is the time limit between making new beakers in the PANDEMIC. I'd guess it's like 5 seconds or so. If you make 1 new symptom at a time, you're limited to 1 every 5 seconds....

Re: Removing the bombcap from chem grenades?
Don't underestimate the damage even a slighty-over-cap bomb can make. (7, 15, 32) vs (5, 10, 21) is a tremendous difference when it comes to the number of affected tiles. I'd say bomb cap is good enough as it still completely wrecks any department it's targeted at. 15 heavy destruction radius would...

Removing the bombcap from chem grenades?
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to remove the bombcap from chem grenades? Ok hear me out. So the bombcap was added because people figured out the ideal way to make TTV bombs, so they could churn out six massive, station-annihilating bombs within 10 minutes of round start, and that was bad....

During some war rounds AI law set, and may add hidden laws, so this isn't as effective. TBH it's pretty easy to create a law that has the desired effect for all common lawsets.
