played some rounds with them now, my worst fears weren't realized i still think projectiles are infinitely better than hitscan but these lasers dont seem op and if the implementation saves lag IDK, you can "dodge" them too to a degree and its not like laser dmg was amazing before the chang...

I really subscribe to the "dodging is fun and a valuable addition of skill to combat" argument, I also think lasers are pathetic and would rather fight nukies with bolas and stunbatons at their current powerlevel. Countering lasers is easy, but I don't see why we should just make it instan...

You're strongly misunderstanding the purpose of notes - as a means of tracking behaviors between rounds. I haven't challenged this at all, the entire appeal is challenging whether the note itself is valid/reasonable under the circumstances that it came to exist, not whether notes are a punishment. ...
