Just allow people to walk over iced tiles without slipping. It does work with water after all, which may or may not be as slippery as freonized ice. Either way, I found it to be far less of a hazard that way.

I'd second the suggestion to not finalize areas by doing their atmos/wiring/machines when you haven't mapped out the entire layout. If any area layout ends up being unsatisfactory in your opinion, you'll have to redo all the things you mapped in it which will cost you a lot of time.

I did not intent my post to be bait. I genuinely believe that people are too upset when they die to the environment. Player induced dangers, like guns, melee weapons and explosives are so strong and deadly on the flipside. A single stun is usually enough to kill and/or arrest. Maybe I'm unreasonable...

To be fair, current chem mixing is also just having flowcharts of what to click to make a certain chem. I even put a book in the library that listed all pre goofchem recipes flowcharts to make chemicals with the least amounts of clicks(ie correct ratios so they fit in a beaker or leave no extra chem...

Have you considered not adding "hallways" at all, but rather just have wide maintenance instead where the hallways would be? You'd have cabling, grilles, low light and trash everywhere instead of clean, empty, tiled hallways.

Buff kudzu a lot but make it only appear from the random event and trays that contain a kudzu plant. The real danger is people being able to plant down 500+ packs everywhere.

I miss the old punji spike traps. There was just something special about covering public places in spikes and leaving banana peels or clown PDAs on them so people would get impaled. It wasn't even a lot of damage compared to some other stuff back then but it was stupid and funny.

Summon guns/summon magic wizard mode is quite literally the second most popular mode according to recent polls. I think that Molly's point shouldn't really be ignored. Complexity is not something that players actually want, it's just what coders and admins(read: players who played for a while already) believe what players want.

I'm kinda disappointed over the overwhelmingly negative reaction to the supermatter. It's a change that was prompted by suggestions by engineers. A lot of them said that they would love a more complex engine that they can actually interact with, like bay or goon. Well, I regret listening to that now...

I feel like the crafting menu could be instantly improved 10x if you added a button to quickly jump to any list you want instead of being forced to move from page to page until you are in the category you want. This would be especially useful for cooks.
