Well the alternative is to make Energy Swords/Shields not deflect projectiles, but also only have a 50% chance (overall) to block any projectile, energy or ballisitc. No thanks. All my successful sling rounds are pre-hatch enthralling by cutting comms then using slip + cuff memes. I only transform iff circumstances force me to, or everyone knows I am one.
Also, 2 slings/round is too low. Most sling rounds no one KNOWS it's shadowling until the redtext.

It's really really minor. 30 damage a round to random people, and you get free HUDs or sunglasses out of it. Sure, minor dick move whatever, but there are far worse things people do on a round-to-round basis. For instance, releasing DNAids as a viro when it was still around.
