May I add that mulligan doesn't force recall? Therefore you can just call the shuttle or something after the crew wrecked the threats 5 minutes in. It isn't forcing you to stay on station at all. It also doesn't kick in if over 70% of the crew is dead or after 60 minutes. Those parameters seem fine ...
