polls are, imo, not really very good. they tell you if players like or dislike something, but they don't tell you what people like or dislike about that thing, which is very, very important. sure if nobody likes a thing after a few weeks it should be removed, but learning why it should be removed is...

if you have 3 z-levels going in either direction you'll probably hit *something* eventually. we would certainly make the new z-levels not empty, so the problem would be reduced, even if its not solved completely.

going in one direction making you pass all planes eventually makes space exploration REALLY easy though.
really, adding a few more z-levels so we have 9 total or something and then just making a 3x3 space grid would probably be best.

A solution would be only rebuilding powernets at the start of a tick, so you get one rebuild per tick maximum.

You still need to do something about those two random maint pods, such as moving them to a section of the station with little escape pods. :v
Also those two space turrets are literally only useful for subverted AIs, taser bolts dont go through glass.
