The sec cap should have the same armor values as the beret
It looks a lot better than the beret does imo and the winter coat already has the same armor values as regular armor, so the cap wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

The beret is already worse than the helmet since headsets can be taken off through it, so that would be retarded.

Shaps is right, if he thinks the beret looks better he shouldn't be penalized for wearing it in sec of all jobs. Same for sec caps, I think they look a ton better than all the other sec garb.

You do know this means that sec headware is now stronger than sec armour vests? Hell this puts the helmets/hats on par with the HoS's uniform due to how low the defence values are.
I don't mind this change in the name of consistency (and fuck off with the "b-but its a hat no armour guys"), but this is still inconsistent with the base bode armour.

My problem with armour is that unless your a special antag then any armour in the game is near worthless and capable of only protecting for maybe one or two attacks from a weaker weapon.
Of course some people, such as the author of that change, prefer armour to be that way instead of it actually being good for defence.

I would accept that if only for the fact that the SAME people who support nerfing armour to shit tier also rail against any significant buff's to antagonists lethality, at least many of the one's I've seen proposed in the last months.

I'll say it for the thousandth time: In a game where the gold standard of combat is a one hit takedown (stun baton), anything that lets you survive "one or two" extra attacks is very significant in terms of increasing your suitability.

As to the OP I don't care either way, 5 resist isn't going to make or break anything.
