what happens if you open these things with an atmos hardsuit on?

does it flood the entire station with superheated death gas? start the atmosphere on fire? melt the hull?

i hope so.

I tried on a test server and sometimes the canister just doesn't open. The valve is open, but no gas comes out. Also you can't fill a tank from the can, even if the tank is empty. However, you can hook it up to distro loop and flood the station normally, checking vent pressures etc. The funny thing is there's no fixing or turning off such a flood, once the canister is hooked the distro is permanently overpressurized and overheated to a billion degrees. Also a fusion canister usually contains no plasma (since it all burned up with oxygen), so the flood will just be ultraheated air and floor tiles won't melt, ensuring the deadly air will not disperse. Windows will blow up everywhere though. And your atmos hardsuit is not gonna save you either, it will gonna buy some time but the heat will burn through it

One round atmos made a burn chamber for fusion.

An immovable rod came and pierced it and made a hole into maint.

Atmos didn't exist soon afterwards and the entire maint area to the right of it was extremely hot, even though the gas had to go over space to get into it.

Yes, it's so hot that it burns you alive through what is supposed to be fire immunity

Fire suits aren't fire immune, they do protect up to 30k Kelvin though
