Our troops all line up at dawn, even the sick Dr Shitlorde gets out of bed for the battle. They fire a volly of full auto .223 at the beast, plus a few deagle and enfeild rounds. This only pisses the creature off, and it charges our line bowling over the poor janitor kid and mauling the shit out of him. Bokken jumps in and starts swinging his axe as Hanz, Meriam and the professor keep shooting. The creature bites of one of Bokken's toes and gores him a few times with his horn, but finally succumbs to its greivous injuries and collapses. Everyone limps to bed while Hanz finishes the noble beast off. The hunt is concluded, and no one died! Truly a glorious day

Alright folks we are back after a brief holiday hiatus. Here is what our current base looks like

We have huge piles of food thanks to quick growing potato crops and the Thrumbo we killed, and the professor is still sick in bed with a nasty influenza. We start building some simple sandbag fortifications when this shit happens.

Pirate seige, the kind that shells you with a mortar before coming in for the kill. My favorite method of dealing with these shitters is to snipe them form afar, but we have no sniper rifle. Hanz decides on a little hit and run with the survival rifle while the janitor kid builds the sandbags

I can see why those colonial marine fuckers still use the M4A1 this far in to the future, it is a badass weapon

As you can see here, Hanz is able to engage the enemy at a distance thanks to the range, accuracy and rate of fire on the gun. Only one pirate is able to return fire at this range, and the rest are preoccupied setting up camp to move in and attack. Hanz might have this single handed

As expected they make an early assault, and then flee when another dies on the charge. We end up with a big pile of free steel, survival meals, and even some mortar shells. Once the Doc is back up and researching we should get out own mortar set up

Apparently while building sandbags the young janitor found an artifact on the ground?

No idea what it is for, but it seems he can interact with it. Upon activation the artifact destroys itself and nothing else happens. What an utterly worthless random ocurance. oh well

I have downloaded Rimworld.

Phoebe Lotsu and Leo Pfeifer started out as the tribe's only pair of lovers. Alas, Leo could not spend much time with Phoebe, as an alphabeaver pack invaded the area and he went to shoot them with Angelina Holmes. Both Leo and Angelina were very bad at shooting despite being supposed "experts" so they were out hunting alphabeavers well until the wee hours of the night.

When Leo returned home, Phoebe announced a colony meeting. In front of everyone, she accused Leo of cheating. Leo tried to explain that he and Angelina were just alone together at 3 a.m. killing the beaver, but for some reason that didn't work. Then he tried to explain that Angelina was a lesbian, but because Angelina had yet to pursue any kind of lesbian relationship, that didn't work either. Phoebe dumped Leo in front of everybody, leaving him a quivering wreck on the floor.

Several days later, Garithos Humies, the staggeringly ugly socially awkward loner of the colony, installed a steel sculpting table and began to make art. His first work of art was literally just a shiv and unremarkable. His second work of art, though, was a sculpture he called "Godlessness." This was the sculpture:

Satisfied with his excellent creation, Garithos decided to install it in Phoebe's bedroom, but Leo got jealous because that made her bedroom better than his. So he installed it in Leo's, right across from him, to watch as he slept. Leo, ever since, was constantly one bad day short of a mental break.

And then the plague killed him and pirates killed everybody else.

So Caleb's life up to now is:- Surviving the apocalypse, fighting in a robot war and now he's crash-landed with with a bunch of spessmen and spesswomen. What horrible luck.

And I'm gonna go ahead and call this the end of today's session. Randy really had it out for me today, there were three dry thunderstorms one after the other, two psychic drones, and 4 mad animal attacks that I didn't include.

Alright lads I messed up. I tried to get Hospitality to work and things went pear-shaped, literally everyone is standing around until they starve to death or The Syndicate/Greyride/Pirates/Wildlife kills them. It will come back but don't be surprised if I have to roll an older save (I keep backup saves just in case for things like this).
Ideally, it should be working again soon™.

I strongly suggest anyone who wants to run a tg game should get the zombie survival mod and the surival wave game mode mod. The first spawns random waves of zombies (free corpes) and the second adds a new story teller and scenario that removes almost all random events from the game.

You get 5 days to set up your base and then you get attacked by a random faction from then on every 48 hours as things ramp up. On challenging I was get dual raids and sieges by the twentieth wave and it goes from there. Random supply drops to your first orb beacon and trade ships are more common too so you have a better chance at getting glitter tech to survive into the 50s waves

The federation peacekeepers mod adds a faction is kinda fun to fight too, plasma weapons, mechanoids and genesoldiers who can take a fucking a beating.

strongly suggest the storage crates mod too, as stockpiling any reasonable amount of resources in this game is torment and they help set up suppy lines more effeciently.

Alpha 15 broke everything and modders are kinda scrambling (or not even caring) to figure out how to fix their mods and make them compatible again.
