Because Coderbus, while absolutely essential to the survival of this game and community, is no more essential than the player base, and needs to be more accountable to the our input.
Because the amount of shit code that has been making it to merge in the last year is insane, and needs to be buffered by popular opinion.
Because most coders decide to enact their pet projects without getting public opinions on the Ideas board of the forum as it was designed for, and then push their projects regardless of quality or public opinion because they have already coded it.
Because more regular players post on the forums than will ever post on Github by many factors, and because so much of Coderbus is terribly disconnected from the game.
PROPOSITIONS:
-I propose that a 'Pre-Merge Discussion' board be added to the Index, in which every 'quality of life' change, departmental or antag alteration is brought up to public discourse via it's own thread and poll a minimum of one week before merge.
-I also propose that polls with more than 50 votes and a majority of 50% or over if there are many choices, or a supermajority(2/3, 66%) if there are two choices, are guaranteed to a meaningful response by the administration and coderbase.
It seems like the candidates are all either ignoring the current issues with Coderbus, or going after them like they are not of our number. Neither response will lead to code safety and community stability. We must be joined at the hip, there can be no independent community that foists unwanted or unbalanced changes on us at will.

I am fairly sure that you can't enter the running at this point, didn't it close last Wednesday?
