Your side of the story: I spawned myself in as a slaughter demon a couple times then used admin tools to give myself an advantage.
Why you think you should be unbanned:
Because I want to roleplay.
Short and sweet, that's my motivation for asking for an unban. I'm not looking to make a big "BLUESPACE IS BACK!" event, nor draw attention to myself and be a shitter, I just want to create a new character and have some fun experiences.
What I did was inexcusable, and I thought i'd be gone from TG forever, it just turns out other communities aren't TG, and it's what I want. I tried hippie, yog, goon, colonial marines but it still didn't have the atmosphere of light roleplay mixed with fun gameplay that tgstation offered.
So... I would like to take the quiet route with a new name and just enjoy some medical doctor goodness, that I can't find anywhere else.
I understand if that happened, i'd likely be on probation. Looking forward to some replies.

If you want to feel better about the first time you could vouch for bluespace in this case.

The amount of posting in his style about the situation without ever hearing of any imposter until his ban appeal makes me suspect that it was him.

I'm not going to say yes to an unban. We aren't lawyers and there's no arbitrary reason to dismiss this stuff.

Seems like that line already got crossed in the terbs and deathhoof appeals, where their shitposting on singulo was brought up as reason for keeping them banned. The standard of proof should be a lot lower for keeping a known shitter banned than it is for applying a new ban to someone who might possibly be innocent anyway. Once you're perma'd, the server doesn't owe you shit in terms of giving you another fair chance.

The difference between here and there is actively admitting to their posting while also having identifiable evidence of who they were, deathhoof specifically mentioning the ban he received while posting IC info in the thread. Plus he got caught evading and tried to play dumb about it in IRC but yeah, different set of circumstances there.

My appeal will be postponed until the 31st when Kor can make a decision.

Not really it was two words.

Anyway if none of the singulo stuff was him I still have a problem unbanning him. Admins retire reasonably and without a fuss for a reason. Shitting everything up until you're actually fired leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth, is really disrespectful to the players and community and a shitty thing to do to people you worked with.

I'm postponing this until Kor gets back on the 31st.

Kor and Sticky quit as headmin, someone else (new headmins probably) need to take over. Or maybe Kor can still handle this just not as a headmin? Unlocked for this reason, no real reason to have it locked anyway.
