Firstly, I'll link my ban message;
You have been banned by feemjmeem.
Reason: As chaplain, witnessed a security officer walk in, get his leg cut off by the captain [Actually, nope.] (which was, after the fact, an accident). The security officer tased the captain and began to cuff them (because the captain cut off their leg), and Sylaeneus then took the captain's saber and chopped the security officer to death and de-brained him and destroyed his brain. I understand that you, somehow, thought the captain was being attacked, but your escalation was improper and the Head of Security was also standing right in front of you. [Nope again] You were then arrested by the Head of Security that you jumped past to murder one of his officers. [Third nope.] Think a little more clearly in the future. Half-day ban since it wasn't completely unprovoked.
So, in order, the Captain ran in the doors of the chapel as I'm re-decorating, because I'm devoted to the space gods and the chapel needs more feng shui. Get's tased, starts screaming stuff.
The sec officer runs up and starts to cuff him.
This is my only exposure to the incident thus far: Captain runs in, gets tased and cuffed. There is only a janitor, me, the captain, my fellow chaplain, and the sec officer in question in the room at this time.
Every gay porn, ling round, and antag encounter I've ever had is screaming;
1) The Captain is about to die, horribly, in a dark maint shaft. Without lube, presumably.
2) This guy has balls, you're probably next.
So I started hacking at him. Lastly, I didn't destroy his brain as far as I know, because the Captain picked it up and threw it.

Joselyn Weisgarber says, "Saved yer life, ya fuckin' git."Why you think you should be unbanned: I feel, given the circumstances and the time available to react to them as they unfolded, I was justified in my actions, and that they were reasonable given the information available to me at the time. Perhaps, jumping right to hacking apart a sec officer for using antag behavior on the captain shouldn't have been my first action, arguably. Then again, chasing down the captain to cuff, tase, and presumably drag them away in front of a crowd of onlookers ought not to have been that sec officer's first course of action. Such things tend to draw involvement from a crowd who can only act based on the appearance of happenings, and if you can't recognize that, well. So, I suppose everyone acted more and thought less, this being the result.
As a final note, feemjmeem seemed more interested in appeasing anger and outrage than actually getting the story and working out the issue. Furthermore, beforehand, he decided it was reasonably provoked but still incorrect, so let me off with a warning. Then, the sec officer in question started talking shit and salt in dead chat, so I attempted to explain my perspective to him, albeit in just as aggressive of a manner. Apparently, this in some manner convinced feemjmeem that, I would wager a guess, I wasn't apologetic enough? and so he reversed his decision and gave me a half-day ban. I'm generally unimpressed with his ability to get both sides and otherwise be impartial or unbiased in his interpretation and application of the rules.
