Your side of the story: You know already, assuming you are qbmax32 reading this, i was suspected of destroying the AI, i undestrand that the Detectvive can arrest me for that, but i wan't to know if he do can kill me just because someone stated i did it, check the logs, i started screaming after a reasonable amount of time has been passed since i was buckled, i naturally got mad, i know it was wrong. Also "it''s just 30 minutes" that's a lot for some people, i don't have all day to play, 30 mins is a lot of my avalible free time. Again the ban is generous, and unnderstandable, but i'd like to know if that's the right thing to do as a detective, and if not, what measure was taken. Also, is there a limit for the Roleplay? according to https://spacestation13.com/about/ , /tg/station should have be a low/no roleplay server, roleplaying is not something i enjoy too much, i'd ike to know if there can be "too much roleplay". You probably should have filed this in the policy subforum, since you are asking a question about the circumstances rather than appealing that the ban be lifted.


We don't control the content of the spacestation13.com site, it has no affiliation with us and does not set the tone or direction of our server and I find their entry to be entirely misleading, which is probably reflective of the person who owns it and their previous interactions with us.

Our server is a limited roleplay server, that does not mean there are no rules, which you would know if you read them https://tgstation13.org/wiki/Rules

We are low roleplay in the sense that an admin won't ban you for knowing how to interact with every machine on the station, and you don't have to pretend you don't know how to do things in game or stick exactly to your in game role and have a filled out backstory to be able to play.

We're high roleplay in the sense that we expect players to stick roughly to the theme of the setting and to not break the fourth wall (I.e don't refer to the game while in the game)

I don't know of any server that has zero or no rules like that, nearly every server has minimum role play standards that you are expected to follow.

I gave you a 30 minute after you said this to the detective: “Marion Mcmullen says, "Just fucking reported you, rope you get banned, also low RP server, i i might get banned for OOC but whatever"


I understand why you were upset. But not everything in this game will always go perfectly. Even directly from our rules it says: Losing is part of the game.
Your character will frequently die, sometimes without even a possibility of avoiding it. Events will often be out of your control. No matter how good or prepared you are, sometimes you just lose.


It happens to all of us. SS13 is a game about paranoia and information, sometimes a player won’t have enough information and make a mistake. Rather then screaming at the detective, and breaking character to say that he was going to be banned, you could have just tried to have a normal talk with him and explain why the arrest was wrong. The ban itself is expired by now, but I believe the ban itself was fine and the reasoning behind it was fine as well.
