I am currently playing in the worst fucking round ever on manuel, some asshole is playing wiz and just running around with a locker staff. A weapon that puts people into welded lockers that take 2 minutes to get out of without help is so OP that it turns the round into one person just griefing every other player. A situation where one person gets to have fun at the expense of literally everyone else is not a situation that should be allowed to happen in a game like this.

A situation where one person gets to have fun at the expense of literally everyone else is not a situation that should be allowed to happen in a game like this.

This. Wizard is limited only by the creativity of what people want to pr for it or do for a gimmick (for the most part).

I've seen some crazy funny wizard powers / combos both here and on other servers.

But it'll almost always be griefy, it's just the nature of the role. Damn wizards summoning snakes in my pockets.

I thought it had its own special green magilock sprites but in this round they were just generic lockers so maybe that is broken

I like the locker staff. It's funny when I'm the wizard, and as a crewmember, I prefer it over a violent magical death.

This is true but anything that incapacitates or prevents movement for long periods of time (i.e. not fun, encourages alt+tabbing) should be avoided. In fact, the locker staff's lockers should have a lower breakout time than the current two minutes given that the wizard can shoot the fucking things endlessly but good luck getting that PR merged.

I do report bugs when I remember to and am not distracted by playing the game but I wasn't sure if that was a bug or I was missing something because I'd only seen the sprites in the game once a long time ago and had otherwise seen them in the code and remembered them because of how tasteful and modern they were compared to a lot of our sprites new and old.

The issue there is the same one a year and so later. The only part that was fixed was the locker not placing people inside. The locker sealing was not fixed by the pr that made actioninja close the issue, so it has remained broken.

That said, it DOES work SOMETIMES. I'm not entirely sure what causes it to break but it is possible for it to properly seal. Which is why I wasn't certain at various points whether it was worth making an issue report later down the line the rare times I do see the locker staff. It kept breaking and unbreaking with no real reason and likely because of changes outside of the locker staff itself. It's seemingly just very volatile code.
