I was playing as a spiritual chaplain following the retarded religion, but I lost my roundstart brain damage when I was healed in a cryo tube. I prayed numerous times in the span of an hour to become retarded again, but no avail. Even after decorating the chapel and making blood offerings, I didn't even receive so much as a "no, stop asking dummy".
All admin midis and no brain damage make chappie a dull boy

I don't so much care that I didn't receive the brain damage. It's more the fact that was the least fun way for a GM to go about things when it comes to a job based on religious devotion.

As a response would have been more than enough.
But regardless, it doesn't even matter that much.

Lord forgive me for vague posting, but BGO seems to maintain a pretty antagonistic attitude regarding their own conduct, as well as towards a decent part of the player base. They also really err on the side of banbot, upholding outdated precedents which any modern admin knows better than to enforce(note: really just referring to one instance here). They seem to have a decent understanding of the rules, but definitely not the spirit of them.

for one thing the ban got overturned and the ruling updated. for another, not knowing that the mechanics of a department have changed because you don't watch every merged PR like a hawk is not failing to understand the spirit of the rules. please don't remove the meaning from "spirit of the rules" by misusing it as such.
It is the spirit of the rules. They were told numerous times how it currently worked, so while their initial enforcement can be rationalized, their doubling down on their ruling after being informed cannot. In any event, it’s a matter of being out of touch with the game vs out of touch with modern rule enforcement, neither of which are the sign of a good admin.
Using "the ban got overturned" as a positive baffles me.
Having to get your ban overturned means you literally had to have a figure of authority (that takes ages to do anything because of how the system works) tell you that you're in the wrong. It means having impaired judgement that requires someone to oversee and correct it.
It's literally "you did wrong and couldn't fix it yourself" how does that make a positive of the situation?

BGO has been great to work with and they provided me with a lot of support when I was learning the ropes. They also have better taste in music than I do. 10/10
They've also done a bunch of really great contributions to the codebase!

Because applying a ban that eventually gets undone and sets precedent in a positive direction is a net positive overall, but even with that aside, my second point still stands
