The thing is that the costume already exists in the game files, forgotten in maints of one map for no reason.

This is a rare case where I agree with oranges; PRs that do nothing but take something cool and rare and try to make it common are kind of not good, especially if they don't give a decent reason to do so other than "they're cool and rare".

We should be leaving stuff for players to discover in an organic way. If it's not showing up ever, words can be had about tweaking how often that kind of thing is spawning, but if it's nothing but a cosmetic, there's no reason to make it more common.

Let people find cool, rare things. Not everything needs to be available to everyone at the click of a button.

I don't agree with him being rude as shit about it, but that's oranges. Not something any of us can really change.

If you would like to see an item that is so rare that you can not ever remember seeing it in your entire time playing, make your way down to your local autodrobe or clothesmate as bask in the amount of obscure clothing that no one has touched since it was added.
Maybe you would like a football players undershirt?

Perhaps a recolored version of the pirate jumpsuit is more your speed?

We either have things that can be printed for almost free in every lathe known to man, or we have things so rare it's just once in a thousand rounds hidden in maintenance. We need more inbetween stuff I think. Having something rare-ish that can be interesting for the map or some other thing is nice to have. It's boring if you can see literally everything this game has to offer in a couple of lathes, vending machines and cargo.

Is there a dark blue crayon. I don’t know but I would doubt it. Also spraypaint washes off with a simple extinguisher or any water, it’s too finicky to be worth it

This shirt is just forgotten content, oranges (and this pr author tbh) is getting heated over literal dirt. But I took offense to someone suggesting something like the regal pipegun being made more accessible as an example. It's meant to be a bit on the rare side so that someone able to make them at all is a shakeup of the round. It's obscurity also allows us (see: me) make adjustments as necessary without worrying about its impact affecting every round negatively.

Obscurity and rarity is a good design space for particularly unique stuff.
