This will be updated with the candidates coming and going, of course.

I personally already have a favourite pick, won't blurt it out here, because I'd like to keep the initial post fair for everyone.
As for the idea behind this, it would be pretty helpful for the candidates to have a feeler for where they stand. We want the most promising and best candidates to win, and to that end, they should have this little poll as a guiding signal for their goal.

And I am curious to see your votes as well, of course. Feel free to discuss why a particular candidate should be chosen. I encourage everyone to take your time and read through the opening threads of the candidates, to get a clear picture of the roster that is up for choice.
For the record, these votes will remain anonymous, you have one vote and you can change that vote freely.

Apologies, we got some technical fucking difficulties. I wanted to add RaveRadbury as the newest addition to the candidates, but I just discovered, doing so will reset the entire poll:
"Poll options: Place each option on a new line. You may enter up to 30 options. If you remove or add options all previous votes will be reset."

Getting in touch with the tech team here, to see if there is a way to work around that. If there isn't, we would have to limit the update on these to be no quicker than one week.

Sorry about that the moved up date for posting candidate threads took me by surprise, and I learned this weekend that it's a lot harder to make a campaign thread when you're finishing out a headmin term.

i don't tell people who i vote for because it could make people sad they weren't higher in my order. i weigh votes based on my personal opinion as to who would make the community better.

Absolutely understandable. The way I see it though, a vote now is not set in stone. Knowing who you vote for is interesting on it's own, but even more interesting is, why you vote for them. What is it about them that you like so much, what convinces you, that you want them to win the election?
If there is a candidate that did not achieve this, they have something to orient themselves on, and maybe they will convince you later down the line.

I have confirmed with the host and team, that inferior functionality is intended (by the developers of this forum-software), just like the broken youtube embeds that destroyed every single linked video on this site.

This means, our poll will be turned into a WEEKLY POLL, and on every monday of every week, starting from today, the polls will be reset, and a snapshot of the votes will be posted in the intial starting post below. We'll do this regardless if there are updates or not, so we can have consistency at least, which is more than some esteemed forum software developers could say about themselves.

NEW update has been posted, week two is now officially starting. Feel free to share this thread in ooc chat, so we get more votes in here. The more votes, the more accurate the result. Personally, very surprised to see mothblocks being this popular, but perhaps with the new candidates in the mix, the picture may change a little? We'll have to see!

Honestly, Sticky is speaking out of my soul. He has all the fun ideas that I wanted to pull as a rogue-min, and is campaigning them as an official platform. He proposes running lots of events and training the team into doing it themselves, making AI an impartial faction again, addressing the scourging desert that is the LRP mindset... he knows where the game is lacking, and his ideas to help that, resonate strongly with me. I already like them on their own, but combined, they're everything that I could ever ask for.

No doubt, these changes will alter the game big time, and as usual, there will be resistance against that. I do think though, that they combat precisely all the shitty things that we got used to, and once they're gone, we'll be asking ourselves how we could have ever played like this to begin with.
No other candidate has addressed these issues and proposed solutions to the extent, that Sticky has. And I genuinely believe that he has an excellent understanding of what makes people want to play this game. That's why I hope that you guys will come around and see him as the must-pick for this election.

I switched my vote to iamgoofball. I know iamgoofball and I have not traditionally seen eye 2 eye on the need to change all the armour values on every clothing item in the game to help coders or players understand how armour values work and what they apply to but this is the best choice for /tg/station. For all of us.
