file an admin complaint and contact MSO
The post where Timber overturned their ruling and accepted my appeal and subsequently my response where I thanked them for it were both deleted. I made no further arguments in the post I made that was removed - it was just showing gratitude toward Timber.

file an admin complaint, if the headmins so much as breathe in the direction of the close button on it MSO will get involved and smite them from up high

Admins never had overturning power, and I don't think Timber ever expected to have that. But there has always been a courtesy expectation that the handling admin's wishes should be valued. Both positively and negatively, in the case of clear admin abuse.

let's not beat around the bush here, it was well known admins could revoke their own bans/notes and the headmins stepping all over that is a massive breach of trust with their team members

god dude this is genuinely one of the worst admin responses to an appeal i think i've seen a long time, maybe of all time for tg
this could very well be going into the history books if somebody decides to remember it

I'll be real, I'm just not going to police names, at all, if they aren't running afoul of other rules. All of my hesitations about this sort of thing have only been intensified by the course this has taken. Long live Pizza Parker.

They're saying "Because you opted to turn this over to the headmin team, our decision is final, and you can't overturn our decision in the manner you tried to.".

I'm very sure this flies in the face of viewtopic.php?f=34&t=32452, which had admins longposting and got more heated than this appeal.
We had appeals that were more hostile than this but got accepted because the admin turned out to be wrong.

headmins reconsidered their decision, based
RaveRadbury wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 1:37 am Hey, everybody. I've unlocked the thread to allow DendyDoom and Timberpoes to reply. This whole situation turned out to be a bit of a mess, and I'm sorry that it ended up like this. My intent in both of my replies was never to be rude or targeting of DendyDoom, though it seems like it's definitely come off like that. I lost perspective during attempts to sound impartial, and I do want to apologize for my mistake to both DendyDoom and Timber.

After further deliberation, we have decided to reconsider the ruling and allow the issue to resolve between the two originally involved in the appeal, Timber and Dendy. This is a decision that the full headmin team talked about between all three of us and discussed, before making sure with each other that it would be okay to post - this also applied to the original rejection message, which had been talked about in the same fashion.
It may have been a bit rash for me to delete both of your posts and lock the thread - I was afraid of it becoming a bit of a mess, and wanted to sort everything out as best as I could, as the sudden turn was a bit of a shock. In light of this, I've undeleted both of them and unlocked the thread to rectify this.

Essentially, when we talked about the original issue we all made a decision, and then we posted it with the assumption that everything would be fine from there. We didn't expect Timber to overrule it afterward, which is what caused the main amount of confusion and mess - but after some reflection, and the fact that if the original appeal was done without headmin review, this appeal seems like it will be fine to just simply allow to resolve naturally with the decision of Timberpoes and any (if required) further talk to DendyDoom.

Again, I'd like to apologize for how I acted and came across in both cases. My intention was only to be impartial, and I don't think I did the best job coming across as that. I hope that, going forward, we can all avoid situations like this, myself included, and use this appeal as something to reflect upon going forward in both naming policy, headmin interaction and player appeals.

We were also mistaken in asserting that it was in bad faith to write for headmin review. Admin discretion can only be handled by headmins and the only place to handle that are in appeals.

They don't get credit for changing their minds after being called jackasses by everyone. Rave is known liar and I have no idea why he keeps getting elected.

He's not wrong this time, though. That was absolutely atrociously handled and even I don't think they deserve to be let off the hook just for going "ok we changed our mind" after literally fucking everyone who made an opinion on it called them out.

Like, y'know me. You've seen me post. I'm usually vaguely admin-sided and understanding. They absolutely fucked up this time, and they (Rave especially, as from personal experience, this fights his style of adminning way more than Spook's, and probably San's idk I've never interacted with San) need to re-earn the community's goodwill as a collective.

all's well that ends well.

Mistakes are made and I dont think its as much of a deal as people say, people were just lulled into a false sense of security by a couple of butter-smooth headmin terms in a row and forgot that this kind of squabble/mixup isnt really that unusual
