A good admin isn't just the one that makes the right call 100% of the time when under pressure, in the moment and being pushed to make a judgement call in short notice.

A good admin is also the one that can re-evaluate their actions in light of an appeal and achieve a positive outcome regardless.

I want to think we can all understand an admin wanting to note something like that in the moment after it gets ahelped, even if we'd disagree with that choice. But it takes far more strength of character to go "ehhh, this probably won't be an issue again, fuck the note it's just petty" than to go "I really want to keep this note just incase you do this thing you've never done before a second time in the next year".

A very satisfying outcome when that happens, and it saves the headmins a lot of headache deciding between "the note is technically valid, the best kind of valid" and "but it's petty as all fuck to keep it".
