Letting miners self antag themselves seems shit, xenobio doesn't get antag just because they make lings or other dangerous shit. All this does is reinforce the grief raffle thing by letting people get a second roll for antag as miner which no other job gets

Edit: Also it makes no sense IC wise that you wouldn't let yourself slaughter the entire station, but you're fine with sticking yourself with a syringe that lets you slaughter the station and make a beeline for it whenever you can

I did and I didn't kill everyone (mostly because a combat shotgun could almost kill me in 1 full burst of buckshot)

A great disgrace is that there is a mere one-in-five chance for you to be a surprisingly flimsy lesser dragon, which you get once per dragon killed. With BYOND's RNG, well.

By far the greater disgrace, however, is that actual ash dragons cannot be sentienced or mindswapped.

And I probably missed some. Most people get to roll multiple times for antag during the round. Finding a syringe at least comes from doing your job/participating instead of ghosting immediatley.

You really can't compare RNG random antag chances with an antagging item that can be gotten every single round. Comparing space Ninja to a self morph item is not a good argument and should be dismissed.

With ghost roles and people learning the trick, its basically FREE MORPH when it appears. Morphs themselves are just shitty antags that eat the armory and then eat anyone who actually tries to fight them.

If someone wants to give up a round to play a side antag that appears rarely and can die with 4-5 laser shots then let them. All you have to do is weld vents and the morph can't go anywhere which basically screws it.

Personally I am indifferent, while it is very easy to get antagonist whether by means of ghost role or round start, having a dedicated antagonist set is... interesting.
Morphs themselves can actually be quite fun, as they add an interesting flavour and extra level of paranoia to the already existing levels of it in the games atmosphere. There is a variety of fun, interesting IC ways to deal with and identify them.

Though on a semi related note, it seems that miners mostly just play to fight monsters and loot lavaland, opposed to actually doing their job-not that anyone really does research anymore...

not all of them, i believe it's 100~ items and after they hit that limit, things they've eaten start getting deleted starting from the first thing they ate

Not ANY of them, until someone fixes the code. Nothing drops when butchering a morph now. I deleted myself as a changeling when I killed and butchered a morph from the inside (on Thunderdome). I had done the same thing in a real round about a month ago and all the shit it ate flew out, including myself.

I think it's best we just stop anyone from getting morph, even as a tc trade or an antag token, until this issue can be fixed.
