Yes I have thought about this as well having sec or captain antag, but at a vastly reduced rate: 80% reduction or so would could be interesting.

Captain should never be antag

The game will just be him subverting the AI then everyone collectively dying, unable to do anything. It wouldn't in any way be fun.

It really is bad, because the HoP just did exactly what I described above after he gave himself all access

Not against an AI disabling comms and flooding plasma while allied with a HoP who has literally everything and borgs. It sounds cool in theory but it wasn't in practice because nobody could actually do anything. This was also back when secborgs were a thing.

I feel like the AI is not nearly as effective a murder machine as people make it out to be. Once shit starts hitting the fan set internals and start smashing cameras. Failing that escape to maintenence, by disposal if you have to. The fucking basil pub scrubs have little trouble figuring this out

There is no direct relation between loyalty implants and being a traitor.

except for the fact that round start implanted personnel and ONLY round start implanted personnel couldn't be traitor.

Technically job antag immunity comes from the role being protected, its just that any role in the past (before the detective change) would always have a loyalty implant to associate them with antag immunity.

The core exception being the heads of staff during Rev rounds, and the Head of Personal being immune (last time I check) to being a round start cultist due to balance reasons (every cultist getting free all access 30 seconds at round start).

Also last I was told if you get a antag slot as a Sec Offical you simply get put into a non-protected role.

Antag roll is before the job roll. So you can have security on high, but still have the same antag chance as everyone else, you simply won't be put in the protected role if you roll any antag(the exception was blob that could affect anyone).

This was from another thread

The thread has a suggestion of making it so that if you have a implanted sec role on low or higher, you get a high chance of being antags.

A retards guide on how to make a maxcap bomb in toxins.
NSFW:
You`ll need:
1-6 Plasma tanks 1-6 Oxygen tanks
1-6 tank transfer valve
2 Plasma canister
2 Oxygen canister
1 Yellow (empty) canister
Wrench
Toxins lab access
Science testing lab access

Grab a oxygen tank and a plasma tank and bring them to the testing lab.
Super cool the Oxygen and superheat the Plasma.

Clean out the oxygen and plasma tanks with a filter/pump.

Then you wrench and unwrench the plasma and oxygen tanks in toxins. It`s important tha you do it one at a time. Try to get a 85%plasma and 15% oxygen mix.

Once you have a good burn mix, pump the mix into the burn chamber and light it on fire. Wait 10 seconds for it to heat up and pump it into a yellow (empty) canister.

Quickly set the kpa output to 163 kpa and fill the tanks with the burn mix.

Take the oxygen tanks and fill it up with a 613kpa worth of oxygen FIRST then fill the rest with plasma, you should get well over 2000kpa in the end.

With the new atmos system you should wait 5-10 minutes for you tanks to bake.

Take a tank transfer valve, add a oxygen tank and a plasma tank to it. You should have a maxcap bomb. Have fun blowing up the station mining!

I'd rather not have all the roundstart suiciding assistants become roundstart suiciding sec officers.

Dude, that never stopped. They still grey tide all the damn time, antag sec or not. And rarely get banned for it. Like dragging a suicide body around so an officer will try to stun you, then slip the officer and steal his gear cause 'lol muh self defense, he attacked me when i dindu nuffin'.

Guys, antag selection is done BEFORE job selection. It's been like this for ages. To implement this we would have to reimplement the biased job before antag system

Eh not really. Everywhere you see a line that contains:

Code: Select all

restricted_roles = restricted_jobs
tab it out once and put this line in front of it.

Code: Select all

if(prob(100 - config.restricted_jobs_antag_chance))
Then you'd just need to define out the config option and add it to game_options.txt

I remember antag captain. I miss those days.

I miss the paranoia of being able to trust NO ONE.
