Super Hero VS Super Villain Mode

Post by MrEousTranger » #200280

(repost from minor thread because its not minor anymore)
SUPER HERO VS SUPER VILLIAN

THE OWL:
Someone gets a traitor like PDA that can dispense owl items.
The owl items are all small enough to fit inside a box.
The owl must keep justice throughout the station and be on the lookout for his arch nemesis THE GIGGLER and others
The owl can hear everything on the radio and must stop crimes whenever they are reported.
He also starts with a reusable voice modifier to mask his actual voice.
When he is not the owl he assumes his normal Identity as (insert name)
But most of all he must NOT reveal his secret identity, if he does hes deemed a menace by Centcom and is made a valid

THE ANTAGONIST:
On the other end another player is made into the Owls arch nemesis (NAME PENDING)!

in the PDA you would use tc's to buy things and only have a few selections
those selections wouldn't be items but boxes full of items that cost all your telecrystals
And the parts required to make the doomsday device are included in your box.
Each box has a gimmick items for your super villian to use and an ID to go with it.
SUPER VILLIAN LIST AND CHARACTER LORE:

THE GRIFFON:
Owl's ex sidekick who was brainwashed and nearly murdered by THE GIGGLER
who now spends his time killing and destroying the lives of innocent crew members.
With his mind twisted he knows that the only way to purify the station
is to destroy it.

THE GIGGLER:
The Owl's arch-nemesis was once an ordinary clown who turned to a life of crime,
but one day after stealing the captains priceless lazer gun he was chased into science by
the Owl. The Owl trying to reason with the clown accidentally pushed the clown into a
vat of UNSTABLE MUTAGEN. The Owl left the scene believing the clown was dead,
little did he know the mutagen obviously mutated the clown into a laughing psychotic
monster known as THE GIGGLER.

THE LUCHADOR:
Once just a large man with an addiction to unstable mutagen
and the fantastic affects that it gave him. After building an immunity to its affects
he needed a way to get MORE
so he stole the ID from a security guard and snuck into sec
and STOLE the lethal injection syringe, emptyed it, then filling it with
his beloved mutagen. Once he injected it his entire body structure CHANGED
transforming him into A LIZARD. Now he seeks to transform the station
into an army of DISGUSTING LIZARDS.

THE PUSSYCAT:
The once dead wife of the Owl. Who after their botched insurance scam
left him taking everything he owned. Weeks later an unknown assailant killed her and
took everything she owned... days before the Owl bought a mansion in southern Munich
coincidence??? maybe. Either way her body was cloned and revived by the Syndicate
now shes out for blood and she will go to any lengths to destroy the station even if it
kills her.

ANTAG'S JOB:
their job is to act in a way similar to the Owl
And perform acts of crime.
Like freezing the captain
spacing the clown
flooding medical with plasma then burning it etc...
But the antag's master plan is to activate one of their DOOMSDAY devices
to help them the antag can convert anyone not loyalty implanted to be their goons.
(exluding the Luchador)

The Owl must stop the antag from activating his doomsday weapon and deliver the
antag to supermax prison.

Note that the Owl must never kill.

Also, you can't be head loremaster if your typing is worse than PAS'.

I like the idea of a superhero (and non-conversion to boot) round type, but this idea deserves something better than this.

To clarify Its like having 2 traitors except ones aligned with the station and the other wants to nuke it
the rest of the station is able to be converted to goons and security can do what they need to stop the
Super Villain. And their both robust as hell.

A random sec officer/HoS/Detective/Warden should be a sympathiser to the Owl and knows their identity with the goal of aiding the Owl.

I had a crack at making items and abilities for The Owl and The Giggler.

THE OWL'S EQUIPMENT
Spoiler:
  • Upon role selection, acquires a box with an Owl costume and a special uplink-like device only they can use. Italic items are gotten by default.
  • The Owl Suit:- Can be worn by anyone but only The Owl can unlock it's potential, otherwise it looks and behaves exactly like the costume from the autodrobe. While being worn, The Owl cannot use guns but gains a special martial arts that's based around stunning and knocking out opponents and can block (But NOT deflect projectiles) fired at them.
By standard, comes with a voice changer and toggleable "Investigator Vision" that enables thermals, Analyzer, night vision and a security HUD. The suit is vacuum-sealed but it is not hardened against tesla shocks. Can fit inside boxes when not being worn.
  • Agent ID:- For getting into places you don't belong.
  • Micro-Owl Computer:- The Owl's "uplink" and passively generates a small set amount of Owl points every 5 minutes with boosts to point influx every time you hit a supervillain or a hired goon. The following items are available for purchase from the Owl Computer.
  • Throwing Owls and Bolas:- A box of reinforced bolas and "Throwing Owls" that, when thrown at a target, disarms and deals a heavy amount of stamina damage with negligible brute damage. Cheap and reliable.
  • Crime Locator:- A pin pointer-like device that will either point to the nearest hired goon, if available, or the doomsday device if it has been built. Disguised as an atmospheric analyzer.
  • Smoke bombs:- A handful of smoke bombs that explode into 20 tiles of smoke in every direction on use.
  • Owl-Belt:- A Re-sprited military belt for easy gadget access.
  • "Get out of Jail free" implant:- An expensive two-set item that comes with a calibrated teleport beacon and an implanter that will give you a 3 time use teleport to the beacon. After three uses the beacon destroys itself and the implant expires.
  • EMP flashflight:- Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Adrenal implant:- Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Freedom Implant:- Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Storage Implant:- Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Owl Panacea:- A marvelous chemical compound that completely heals all injuries, cures all diseases, undoes genetic and brain defects all while disguised as an epi-pen. One use per pen.
  • Radio decryption key:- Behaves exactly the same way as the syndicate key.
  • Binary translator key: Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Camera scrambler:- Makes you invisible to Security cameras, AIs and Cyborgs. Lasts 10 seconds with a 30 second cooldown.
  • Cryptographic Sequences:- Behaves exactly the same way.
  • Chameleon Projector:- Behaves exactly the same way.
THE GIGGLER'S EQUIPMENT
Spoiler:
A choosable identity for the super-villain. This villain identity gives the super villain a few unique abilities.
  • Immunity to cyanide
  • Immunity to "Giggle Gas"
  • Can slip out of handcuffs extremely easy. Zipties and cable ties barely stop them. Can resist out of a straight jacket.
  • Is healed by eating bannanas.
The equipment:-
  • Giggler's Clown Suit:- A specially modified clown suit that goes in the exosuit slot. Specially made to deflects tasers and disablers and is specially insulated against batons and prods. Comes in purple instead of the distinct red.
  • Giggler's Clown Mask:- Comes with a voice modulator and cannot be removed by anyone but the wearer, people who are not the Giggler will receive a message that says it is physically stuck to them. Functions as an internals mask. Painted with a rictus grin and green afro.
  • Giggler's Shoes:- Squeaks like a clown but doesn't slow like a clown. Immune to slips and space lube. Comes in purple.
  • Joke Book:- The Giggler's "uplink" and generates a small amount of points per 5 minutes. Gain an influx of points everytime you "prank" someone.
  • Acid Cream pies:- Coconut cream pies that look normal to cursory inspection but are loaded with very powerful acid. Can be thrown at someone's face to deal great burning damage and destroy their masks. Or place it on the Chef's counter, honk!
  • "Trick" Revolver:- A revolver that when first fired will produce a small flag that says "BANG!". Fire again at a target for a 100% chance of embedding and doing 40 brute damage. Contains 6 flags. The trick is that there is no trick.
  • Giggle grenades:- Grenades that produce a small cloud of "Giggle Gas" upon detonation. Giggle gas does moderate amounts of toxin damage that stays in someone's system a long time and causes victims's to break down into hideous fits of laughter that force a victim to collapse and be incapable of speech. Fits grow longer and more intense the longer it is in your system until eventually causing a heart attack.
  • Joke Buzzer:- A small button with no inhand sprite or examination text that buzzes someone with electricity, akin to a shocked airlock. Stuns and does burn damage, needs 5 seconds to wind up.
  • Monkey Business Banana:- A banana that, when fed to a monkey, causes it to become extremely violent to everyone except the Giggler and his goons, as well as make them stun immune and do increased damage. Monkeys expire after 5 minutes from complications.
  • What-A-Couple-Of-Goons brand(TM) Goon Ray:- A hand held ray gun that when used on someone will convert them into a Giggler goon. Giggler goons have big, broad, distinctive smiles and an innate understanding of the Giggler's props. Can be deconverted with a moderate chance with a whack to the head, a greater than likely chance on being rendered unconscious and a certain chance with a loyalty implant. Goon rays are relatively expensive with 8 charges and non-rechargeable or replaceable batteries, cannot convert other goons, The Owl, Command staff or Loyalty implanted personnel.

Make one guy (scientist?) the guy who makes gadgets for the owl, that can be kidnapped by the evil guys to force the owl out of hiding, and of course prepares the owl's equipment ( instead of the usual uplink)

I'm not really sure how the riddler and plasmemes fit together tho the look is definitely right.
Any ideas?? I was thinking Captain Plasma, tired of plasma men being bullied by the Man so he
fights back and decides to flood the station with 100% plasma so he can finally live without his suit.

HOLY SHIT I JUST GOT IT
HES LIKE MR. FREEZE

EDIT:
just read this snip from the batman wiki

POWERS
Decelerated Aging: Some interpretations suggest that because he has been soaked in the serum he intended to use for cryo-preservation, his age progression has slowed drastically.

Toxic Immunity: His unique physiology makes him immune to most toxins, bacteria and viruses.

Superhuman Strength And Durability: Mr. Freeze's suit grants him superhuman strength and durability.

ABILITIES
Genius-Level Intellect: Mr. Freeze is a scientific genius, his specialty in cryogenics. He employs an extensive array of cryo-weaponry in his driven quest, motivated by his grief and anger over the fate of his wife Nora.

Polymath: Victor is also a polymath who has specialized in multiple fields of medicine, engineering and science.

Multi-Lingual: He's able to speak English, German, Greek and Latin.

Mechanical Engineering: He's a gifted mechanic, having built his Cryo Suit, Cold Gun and life support machine for Selina Kyle, who had her heart removed by Hush.

Genetics

Cryogenics Expert: While Mr. Freeze is a skilled scientist in multiple fields, his specialty is cryogenics, an interest that started at an early age. His skill has allowed him to put his wife in suspended animation and make multiple cryogenic weapons.

Chemistry

Just replace anything about freezing with plasma
and give him those powers.

CAPTAIN PLASMA

POWERS
Spoiler:
Hazardous Biology: Their unique physiology makes him immune to most toxins, bacteria and viruses. However, they require plasma to live and breathe. Cannot be knocked out by N2O.

Redundant Biology: Not affected by blood or organ loss (except the loss of their brain or lungs). Can re-attach body parts without surgery. Regenerates injuries if in a pure plasma environment.

Environmental adaptation: An innate ability, through a mechanism poorly understood by Nanotrasen scientists, turn the surrounding air into toxic plasma at an alarming rate. Can completely turn a 10x10 room completely toxic in minutes if not interrupted.

Works alone: Captain Plasma cannot recruit goons.
STARTING EQUIPMENT
Spoiler:
Captain Plasma's Hazardous Environment Suit: A specially-designed suit that isolates Captain Plasma from harm and the toxic/ hazardous oxygen as well as grant them a number of powers. It cannot be removed while active and only Captain Plasma knows how to toggle it on and off - deactivates by itself if out of power and has a 45 second boot-up time. By default, the suit grants fire, syringe, temperature and pressure immunity as well as comes with a polarized visor that protects them from flashes. The suit has an internal power supply that can be used to activate modules that grant abilities at the cost of power drain (some powers drain more than others). By default, the suit comes with a super-strength module (grants the ability to punch down walls, doubles punch damage and knocks victims far away. Passively drains power while active and drains a moderate amount for every wall punched down), vision enhancement (thermals, night vision and research analyzer. Drains a small amount of power) and a basic onboard medical system that regenerates 5 brute/burn every 10 ticks. More modules and power capacity can be added. Resembles a Plasmaman suit on steroids.

Power drain: Reverse-engineered from the Spider Clan, Captain Plasma's suit can drain power from most electrical systems - including power cells, APCs, SMES systems and exposed wires.

Captain Plasma's Modified Flamethrower: A modified flamethrower of Captain Plasma's own design. It uses bluespace to induce quantum fission in the surrounding air to produce a plasma-less flame. Does not work in a vacuum.
MODULES/PURCHASABLE EQUIPMENT
Spoiler:
Captain Plasma's abilities revolve around their suit which passively generates points over time and grants a boost for every victim. Points can be put towards buying modules and equipment, or upgrading his suit. Their suit is everything to them.
  • Syndicate Brand Magboots: Not as effective as the CE's boots, but these boots only slow you down while they're active.
  • Plasma Boost Pack: A jetpack that uses pure plasma as a boosting fuel, leaving a contrail of plasma gas behind you as you fly. Fly indoors and ignite it and then...
  • Emergency plasma supply: An emergency internals tank filled with plasma, has a distinctive "plasmaman" theme.
  • Heat Ray: A modified temperature gun that has had it's heat setting overclocked quite significantly. Deals 20 burn damage on targets with a very high chance of adding a fire stack.
  • Adrenal Implant: Behaves exactly the same way as the traitor variant.
  • Ion Weapons Module: A suit module that converts you active hand into a no-drop weapon that fires ion bolts. Passively drains power while active and a moderate spike with every use. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE MUST YOU FIRE ON YOURSELF.
  • Ablative Armour Plating: Increases energy weapons defense by 50.
  • Kinetic Dampeners: Increases projectile weapons defense by 50.
  • Suit Fortification: Increases melee defense by 50.
  • Energy Shield Module: Deploys an impenetrable energy shield while active. Significantly drains power while active. Automatically turns off if power reaches 25% capacity.
  • Suit Energy Capacity Upgrade Module: Increases your suit power by 10,000 with every upgrade. Increases in price every time it is bought.
  • Blink Teleportation Module: Reverse-engineered from the Wizard's Federation, allows you to blink with a small cooldown. Costs a small amount of power with every use.
  • Medical Upgrade Module: Improves your existing medical module to heal 10 bute/burn every 5 ticks.
  • Emergency Triage Module: Similar to a Changeling's fleshmend, heals 40 brute/burn in one go. Moderate power loss and causes stamina damage, rapid usage may cause unconsciousness.
  • Speed Boost Module: Increases your run speed massively with a small power drain while active. However, you slowly develop stamina damage while it is active. Mostly used for escapes.

Captain Plasma is a heat based supervillain that is reliant on his suit for everything. He has practically no subtlety and is reliant on the station's own power supply to use his powers. His suit allows him to go practically anywhere and his body is very resilent to damage, however he is very weak to EMPs and his default equipment doesn't do that well against someone in a fire suit and internals. He cannot recruit goons which means that he has to do everything himself. He can be a hassle to deal with early on and has the potential to be an unyielding glacier if given enough time to upgrade.

I want this now anon...

Gonna go for broke

EL LUCHADORE

POWERS
Spoiler:
Big Guy: El Luchadore is at the peak of physical durability and is immune to nearly all forms of stunning. Tasers, disablers and stun batons have no effect on him whatsoever. He is innately resistant to most forms of melee and all melee attacks are flatly reduced by 10. This makes him immune to any attack with force 10 or less. 15 if augmented. Possesses immunity to disease and takes 50% less toxin damage from all sources. He may also pry open airlocks with his bare hands.

A Lot Of Loyalty From Hired Guns: El Luchadore may have no more than 3 followers in his lifetime, however - they cannot be deconverted.

Crashing This Station With No Survivors: El Luchadore can instantly break all forms of restraint except a straitjacket, though he can resist out of it given enough time. He is an expert martial artist and innately knows the wrestling moves that would be granted by a wrestling belt. However, he must be wearing his mask to make use of them. He blocks projectiles but does not reflect them. He may not use most firearms except weapons that are bulky.

It Would be Extremely Painful: El Luchadore suffers oxygen damage while not wearing his mask.
STARTING EQUIPMENT
Spoiler:
El Luchadore's Mask: Why does he wear the mask? To all inspections, El Luchadore's mask is a completely ordinary luchadore mask with no special properties. However, in order to use his martial arts, he must be wearing the mask and suffers immense pain and respiratory problems without it. Is completely indestructible, cannot be destroyed with acid, fire or the incinerator. Still "luchador-ifies" speech and comes with a voice modulator like all villain masks.

Agent ID: Works the same as all the other agent IDs.

3 "Loyalty" Implants: Implanters containing implants that make El Luchadore's hired guns loyal to him. They do not possess antagonist HUDs or any distinguishing features, however, mindshield implants and The Owl's crime locator will reveal their allegiance. It is imperative that hired guns know and understand each other's identities at all times.
El Luchadore does not possess a means of purchasing equipment. He must procure all his equipment on site and what he and his hired guns can acquire. El Luchadore himself is a formidable opponent, being resilient to projectiles AND 75% of security equipment along with his flat melee damage reduction will require some thinking. He is not immune to flashing, slips or flashbangs however.
It is imperative you have a master plan when dealing with this big guy or else it will be extremely painful for you and just remember that you're in charge here.

Mime, obviously.

This one probably shouldn't have a name. He won't tell you, and nobody ever said it out loud and lived.

An assistant, Grey Tide. He is actually a hivemind of several identical assistants, no special abilities except for being able to create more of himself somehow.
