Increased max health would be a very good megafauna reward. +25 max life per heart container collected, however you only benefit from one dropped from each type of boss, so no grinding drakes all day or whatever.

I'm not even sure if extra health would work without bugs, it could have issues with machinery that shows your health like sleepers or cryo.

If there are no issues, though, i'd make it into an implantable organ.

Instead of dropping heart containers ala zelda, they should drop souls, like legions do. Applying them grants you minor burn/brute/explosion resistances directly to you, like being augmented, but without the need to use welder/cable to heal. Like earlier, you can not apply the same soul twice, and each mega only drops one soul. If you collect all 4 standard mega souls, you gain a heady sum of natural resistance to all types of damage, lava/ash immunity, and maybe some other horrifying powers, like fireball, bloodwalk, magic missile in the form of legion skulls, and a good reduction on Voice of God cooldowns.

To anyone going "That's WAY too OP!" How often do you see a miner kill all four megafaunas in a single shift? If they somehow manage this feat, they damn well deserve massive rewards for it.
