Rework of Gang into Cabals. Functionally, a more interesting extended round. It's time for some scheming.
- 3 to 4 Cabals on station.
- Each Cabal leader spawns with one conversion pen.
- Conversion pen has two uses and after that it disintegrates.
- The two players who were converted are now a member of the cabal.
- They must eradicate the other cabals while accomplishing a common (between all cabals) goal.
- Cabals get no special equipment aside from the pen. They must use their wits to accomplish their goals.
- There is no way to identify if someone is part of a cabal, aside from of course, overhearing their schemes. No antag checking!
Just to give a few ideas as to what the goals could be.
1. You lust for power: Escape on the Emergency shuttle while wearing the Captain's clothes and a Captain ID. No other Captains must be present on the shuttle. Centcom will be sure to treat their new Captain well.
2. You're greedy: You hear the Syndicate will pay a huge sum for a working nuclear authentication disk for reverse engineering. Escape with the disk on a pod, so you can further be extracted away from the eyes of Centcom.

I myself could code this game mode, it wouldn't require much effort.
I disagree that they should be some sort of antag that runs with traitors. With three cabals you have 9 antagonists. With four you have twelve. Just because they don't have any special traitor items doesn't mean that they aren't deadly. After all there's all sorts of destruction you can cause as an antag. Adding traitors to the mix would also reduce the pool of available people that could be added to your cabal because of the whole conflicting objectives thing.
