In short, there should be consistency on how easy it is to deconstruct structures of similar security.

This is really good and I'd be interested to see in how maintainers felt about it.
I too hate how anti-sabotage this game has gotten.
Should leave that stuff to the armory, perma and ai sat/upload/captains quarters

I think this needs a comparison to how long it takes to break with a "standard-force" weapon like a toolbox or fire-extinguisher as well as a baselineItseasytosee2me wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:00 pm https://hackmd.io/@itseasytosee2me/SkKJYF7r5

I like this a lot
Always feels kinda shitty when you run into a barricade with an unreasonable amount of durability
Would the security level of the structure be visible somehow by examining, or would it just be a behind the scenes thing?

Re: Deconstruction effort based on Security level Design doc
It does make sense to sort structures into security tiers instead of it being disorganised.
I wonder if there’ll ever be a system to cover building/deconstructing/destroying things to better standardise them. Like a component that sets construction/deconstruction steps and sets armour values or something, with presets people can add to structures. Might also make streamlining building for engineers repairing significant amounts of damage easier.
In SS14, when you’re building something it creates a ghost of that object that you add materials to. It also tells you the construction steps.
