Plug a blue/yellow emergency tank into it, greatly reduces amount of O2 consumed while device is on. Uses battery power while on, has battery. It's an air recycler, so I guess it could be handled in a more complex system of % chance to recycle X of O2 consumed (Depending on the micro/nano/pico-manipulator in it), but I'd be fine with a flat cut in consumption.
Battery replaceable. Belt only. Sprite forthcoming shortly. Thoughts?

Sure. You'd be stopping by R&D for a hypercap anyways.Falamazeer wrote:Researchable?

So long as this thing can also go in a space suit's storage slot.

Re: Portable Air Recycler Unit
There should be pros and cons to the device. Don't have it fit in suit storage, but something like belt slot instead. Yellow tank being able to fit is kinda crap, as those things last 5ever anyway.
Make an even better version as well with some kind of bluespace function if you want it to fit in suit storage. Make a 'tech tree origin' out of the whole thing. RnD should scale up as it goes, not be uber on one button click.

Re: Portable Air Recycler Unit
This may seem a bit harsh, but the best thing I can see this feature bringing is the possibility to greatly reduce CO2 output.
I say this because, to the best of my knowledge, while breathing on internals, you still produce a tiny amount of CO2 that gets left behind, so having some way of eliminating that would be pretty cool.
...However, that's a pretty small impact, and the rest of the feature can easily be emulated by simply filling your internals box with more emergency tanks.
