Bottom post of the previous page:

Bay is dead and irrelevant. They always took themselves - and SS13 - too seriously. They removed the cluwne, now the cluwne removed them.

Bay is actually making a cool Star Trek themed map that seems pretty interesting so I might go check it out once that's done

Playing detective there is kinda cool because you get an M1911 and your shoulder holster is a jumpsuit accessory which lets you have your belt slot free. Or i mean it used to anyways. I will never forget the time some lil bitch got really salty at me in LOOC after i beat his cult into traction with my stun baton. "Wow why did you attack me what the fuck you cant just do that" - the guy in cult robes covered in blood with a bloody sword who was advancing toward me. He was unrobust as all hell, it was hilarious

I actually really enjoy the bay design methodology and direction.

It's a pity the administration and player policy killed it.

Space Wizards, for example, are blatantly magic. No way around it. They're magic men in robes who come to shit all over your advanced tech with heebiejeebies. But I think everyone likes that, even the most scifi men.

Evil, reality-tearing cults? Sure. They're some of the most fun thematics we have.

Its just when mystical hooha becomes normal stuff, like miners finding magical potions and magic wings and fucking videogame power-ups and stuff that it just feels... wrong.
Yes, this, and I also think that a lot more design energy should be spent on actual space station shit.

I came here to talk about themes but do people seriously still think even in 2016 that bay is some ultra-hardcore uber-RP server? they literally are only slightly more RP than us they are still extremely wacky and funkly holy shit people its not hard to understand

also its a big universe thats why i like a mix of scifi/fantasy
I consider myself a /tg/station historian. If you're interested in the server history at all, feel free to ask me and I'll try and get you an answer! #ConcurForever

Bay is the kind of server you get banned from for turning on turrets when someone hacks into your upload and you're both rogue and purged.
Bay is the kind of server you get an admin warning on for not RPing as mouse.
Bay is the kind of server you're not supposed to kill a changeling on because it "takes someone out of the round". Do it anyway? Dayban.

Have you ever actually played on bay?

Seriously the administration on bay makes this one look fucking flawless. They go full retard immediate no discussion ban if you fail to RP to their acceptable standard, which to be completely honest is literally autistic. No lie, it is sometimes some of the most cringe worthy mary sue level of bullshit for their own character and if you dare even step on their narrative by accident then you're gone.

No warning, no appeal.

That said I still like the way their codebase has developed.

tbh that was the main thing that lead to a bunch of their coders and playerbase splitting off to form Polaris.

The screeching in their forums when a downstream server asked them how to re-enable putting hats on Ian is the most cringeworthy hilarious thing. Like, not even their server and they were screaming about immersions because somebody somewhere on the internet wanted to put a hat on a dog.

I remember the Ian wars.
I was there when it was disabled for the first time, allegedly because of an item duplication glitch.
I asked them - why not fix it?
Shit erupted.
