Issue with disposing bodies is people get so asinine about it.

Guy starts greytiding, slips, gets killed and gibbed. Bwoinked. I can't make this shit up, rules about doing this needs to be laxed. Getting cloned is a privilege not a right.

bwoinked and ragged for 10 mins by robustin for cremating 3 dead guys who had validhunt/greytide/antag gear. Told not to cremate people.

i think on a good day I've cremated over 40 bodies.

I'd prefer there to be more ways to kill it (didn't we have splashing it with salt be like a near instant kill?) and for there to be more ways to gather resources/fuck the station up. Defile is fun to make things spookier but apart from opening up morgue trays/bodybags and smashing windows to space - it has little utility.

Maybe one way to get some resources without having to steal bodies is just revealing yourself in front of everyone, the more witnesses the more points you get. Honestly I think taking some pointers from Goon's Wraith might be a good idea - namely the poltergeisting and replacing our Blight with their Decay.

Rev is gay simply because if it's not terrible, it is massively annoying to kill, meanwhile it just runs around 360emping nerds and using that asshole stam drain thing.
If you could more easily kill it without having to unload a fuckload of shots into it in the 5 seconds it's vulnerable, it would be fine.

You`ll need:
1-6 Plasma tanks 1-6 Oxygen tanks
1-6 tank transfer valve
2 Plasma canister
2 Oxygen canister
1 Yellow (empty) canister
Wrench
Toxins lab access
Science testing lab access

Grab a oxygen tank and a plasma tank and bring them to the testing lab.
Super cool the Oxygen and superheat the Plasma.

Clean out the oxygen and plasma tanks with a filter/pump.

Then you wrench and unwrench the plasma and oxygen tanks in toxins. It`s important tha you do it one at a time. Try to get a 85%plasma and 15% oxygen mix.

Once you have a good burn mix, pump the mix into the burn chamber and light it on fire. Wait 10 seconds for it to heat up and pump it into a yellow (empty) canister.

Quickly set the kpa output to 163 kpa and fill the tanks with the burn mix.

Take the oxygen tanks and fill it up with a 613kpa worth of oxygen FIRST then fill the rest with plasma, you should get well over 2000kpa in the end.

With the new atmos system you should wait 5-10 minutes for you tanks to bake.

Take a tank transfer valve, add a oxygen tank and a plasma tank to it. You should have a maxcap bomb. Have fun blowing up the station mining!

Your original design was a mistake. It should be all about tricking the crew in the first place, manipulating people, and fucking with environment without harming directly.
It should be about spoopy ghost RP, we have enough murderboner as it is.

I've never felt my round was made more enjoyable by a ghost who has the ability to open electrified grilles, open escape to space for the luls, kill the AI, or validhunt/murderbone [AKA blight the esworder or blight the sec, your choice!].

Can we please give it less "hahaha fuck you" ling abilities and more SPoooOOOooooOOOOky abilities that don't actually kill [or even hurt] anyone?

Also can we make it so it doesn't fix holy-water tiles? So dumb this side antag has an ability not even main antags like Wiz and Cult can counter.

even in rounds where security is full and bored, chasing the fucking thing around with the whole armory the times i have seen them actually die can be counted on less than one hand.

It's the only way to play revenant. turns out the players are making it a grief ghost, but then again, it has the powers to BE a grief ghost.
Don't even need some of those abilities, I only used soul eat thing omnom and transmit.

The problem is that it mostly spawns in windows or behind objects so you cant shoot it

yeah this is true
either 1. lower the health massively, or 2. remove the respawn mechanic
Lowering the health wouldn't be doable since the Rev's health is tied to it's Essence.

Make stuff that spawns them more often (traitor item/cult rune maybe) and give them some means of harming people before they have the ability to short out lights, and they'll be in a good place.

Revenant is great fun when it's roleplayed with. Encourage roleplay by making revenant transmit visible to observing ghosts (so players can see good examples of it, probably best done on a local basis to avoid spam) or giving it interesting objectives. Discourage pure griefing by banning people that don't try to do anything interesting with it. It's not a main antagonist, it doesn't need to be totally unrestricted.

The best part of the revenant is pitting players against each other and getting them to obey you. To do that you normally need some small way of threatening the player (i.e. to have stick as well as carrot) but it doesn't need to mean the ghost is only used to annoy everyone.

last time i dealt with a revenant i kept feeding it prisoner i was permabrigging so it'd leave sec alone

turns out it was the ghost of the first guy i permabrigged who wanted to kill me but i was too good at dodging purplebolts and throwing bodies at it

all side antags are dumb now that you think about it
blobs are just there to eat the armory
swarmers are retardedly unbalanced with 100% hard counters like borgs but still being ridiculous
abductors seem cool but there is pretty much no counter to being abducted, unless you have a holopara in which case you fuck them all up with them having no chance
ninjas can turn fucking invincible and telefrag people but thats ok because they are rare apparently
lone nuke ops are thankfully disabled

IMO transmit has to go. I'm increasingly seeing revenants basically take a side during a conflict and using their omniscience to pass along perfect intel about what the other side is doing.

I cannot even express how unfathomably shitty it is for a revenant to out a traitor or changeling thats been operating with perfect stealth, and the antag doesn't even know that an omniscience ghost is feeding their location to the HoS.

Revenants teaming with antags is something I see every so often and it's extremely annoying. Removing transmit would probably help a little.

While I agree that revenant should never take sides - especially, sec side, is removing transmit really the answer? If we remove this, than spooky ghosts are pretty much limited to shocking lights in their interaction with the crew. Maybe some kind of policy or rules regarding revenants would be better.

Then again, I'm probably in the minority, playing revenant as the kind of antag who never gets involved directly (and who I believe should not be given combat abilities beyond finishing off already-damaged and isolated prey), instead preferring to spoop everyone.
On the front of spooping everyone, it's kinda shit revenants are visible to medhuds.

That's the whole damn point, you can't GIT GUD if an invisible asshole is constantly telling your enemies where you are.

They don't even KNOW they've been out'd by a revenant.

I mean what if we had a side events where a player ghost could just feed everything they've seen to a player of their choice?

That'd be utter shit right? I mean we worked extensively to stop ghosts from using methods to tell the crew who killed them, who's an antag, etc.

Why is it suddenly ok if we let that ghost also EMP shit, fuck their stamina up, or stun everyone near lights?
