Remove blob and meteor, then I can agree with you.

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
meteor might actually not be so bad since meteors were made WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less laggy. it'd be worth trying at least for a little bit.

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
meteor's not any good because there's no realistic way for engineering to actually do anything against an unstoppable tide of wall-penetrating explosive death though.
since there's no way to realistically maintain station integrity besides huddling behind the energy shields, there's no real counterplay which means it's basically >sit inside shield, wait for round to end
if there was a way to maneuver the station to prevent hits or a way to actually build ablative armor that actually functions it would be worth playing.

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
its got a 1.4 % chance of happening, thats equal to the amount of times admins spam meteors anyway

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
the idea is that it's a survival mode, not a PvE "beat the asteroids yay!" mode. the station is doomed and the idea is to outmaneuver the asteroids until rescue arrives. have you ever had an asteroid whiz right past your nose and blow up just tiles away, and narrowly escaped within an inch of your life? it's actually quite thrillingCik wrote:meteor's not any good because there's no realistic way for engineering to actually do anything against an unstoppable tide of wall-penetrating explosive death though.

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
My current issue with meteor is that many stations are simply too insulated in the middle to be a real threat.

Re: Give nearly every mode a rare chance of happening
Except meteors are just RNG unavoidable death balls. If I had the opportunity to see them coming an leap heroicly out of the way, that might be fun. Instead, it's just 'hole appears, ggnore'.PKPenguin321 wrote:the idea is that it's a survival mode, not a PvE "beat the asteroids yay!" mode. the station is doomed and the idea is to outmaneuver the asteroids until rescue arrives. have you ever had an asteroid whiz right past your nose and blow up just tiles away, and narrowly escaped within an inch of your life? it's actually quite thrillingCik wrote:meteor's not any good because there's no realistic way for engineering to actually do anything against an unstoppable tide of wall-penetrating explosive death though.
