Give players a reason to not walk into something that would kill them immediately (trying to suicide bomb antags/jumping into the sing/suiciding round start)
Literally, if there was ANY sort of round to round system (even something as simple as fucking beards) the entire fucking player base would change their ideals from "lets 420 no scope this ling with my pulse death cannon i spent 0.3 seconds making in RnD because i've done it a billion times before" to "Alright, let's organize security and research together, research will supply guns and we'll close in on the wizard at the same time, some might die, but the wizard will be taken down over all"

You don't lose anything by dying, if you give them something to lose, maybe they'll start caring about dying.

Pretty fucking simple.

It's a neat idea but imagine the :salt: when an antag drops a singulo beacon next to escape or something, 'cause people will get a boner from deliberately making as many people as possible lose their stuff.

edit: and if someone died in the previous round or joins as an ashwalker from observing or whatever, then they're still not losing anything by dying, with the added bonus that they can now make other people lose stuff.

Implement clone damage to players who died last round and join the next one, on account of them being clones. They'll have to go to medbay and get healed.

You'd have to let people who have the Die GLoriously objective some sort of bonus next round if they complete all their antag goals

Maybe not for the crew but possibly something for antags: if you die as a certain type of antag like a traitor or ling you can't role for antag again for x amount of rounds. The idea would be to encourage solo antags to be more cautious and secretive rather than immediately spawning weapons and trying to kill as many crew members as possible. This could apply to round start suicides or braindeads as well. If you suicide within x amount of time or go braindead for longer than x amount a times within a y amount of time into the round you can't role for antag for a specified amount of rounds. Discourages people who WANT to be antags from just abandoning the round at the very start simply because they didn't get antag and actually play the fucking game.

there is not enough words to describe how retarded you'd have to be to not understand how this game is built on the concept of zero persistence and round wiping

the whole point of this game is a slow/fast descent into chaos and hell while being cleaned away the next round and adding persistence is just a slippery slope that you don't want to do

cosmetic, useless memepoints for people who stay alive just rewards autists for powergaming, it will not stop suicide bombing of antags or make people less suicidal, because getting a +1 point for surviving or getting a longer beard next round DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE to the satisfaction of dunking a traitor. No amount of 'deadly' shit will ever deter antag hunters from trying to dunk a shit traitor.
