My first playthrough was a disaster but they always are. By the third playthrough I had the gas's behaviour down. By the fourth I knew enough to build a base that can last regularly beyond 15 cycles.
Finally my atmos autism has given me useful knowledge
It's not even hard though. You just have a bunch of gas-permeable pipes on the floor so the carbon goes to the bottom of your base, then you just place a bunch of algae farms and make a hatch for all the good oxygen to flow all the way back up. EZ.
And because i'm curious, are any of the other gasses (not oxygen) worth looking into?
Hydrogen is a byproduct of turning water into O2, and can be used as power source
It also goes to the top above O2 so you can use it to fill up dead end top areas and push your O2 down into the actually used areas of your base, if you haven't just walled it off and added an airlock for some reason.
It's useless junk gas as far as I know(Not even half as lethal as real chlorine gas!), but can be turned into contaminated O2 through one of the native wildlife species which breathes chlorine and exhales contaminated O2.
Good luck getting real use out of that though, there's no way to collect the animals yet
what game are you even talking about, and why don't you call your base Atmosia every round

on the arrival shuttle, I saw the iconic toolbox on the ground. I clubbed myself in the head with it trying to figure out the controls.
Setting the tool box, now bloodied, back on the table; I went to heal myself with a medkit. I clubbed myself in the head with that too.
I've come a long ways from asking how to switch hands.

The HoP just toolboxes someone to death out of nowhere, then gets speared by a chemist who saw him murder a guy, then the chemist gets beaten to death because someone else saw him kill the HoP.
Tele-man somehow dies and gets its looted by an atmos tech who managed to use it to send two nuke ops to lavaland, who were then surrounded by several very angry people from earlier and some extra golems on top of it.
Captain dies, gets cloned/revived, lasers the guy holding the disk into crit to take it back.

Just finished my third playthrough of Dark Souls 3. Going to start another run today. The last DLC comes out in three weeks so if you played the game and then lost interest, now's your time to shine.

That's either the darkwraiths (common enemies who eat your humanity) or Four Kings (a boss composed of beefier darkwraiths). Might also be Manus but he has a glowy arm.

It is. It just sits there doing nothing, in the swampy area where you have to extinguish fires. I could just ignore him, but me not being able to kill it (without drinking 4 estus in the process) is telling me i'm not tall enough to continue. I'm not really good at this game.

I've started playing BF4 with some of my friends recently, and it was on sale so we got a copy for another friend for $5
When I was playing some games alone it was "yeah okay I now remember why I stopped playing battlefield" but when you have a squad of pubbies/friends who actually communicate and help each other it's fun
One of said friends summed it up best though on a particularly bad game when he said "arma 3 koth is more fun than this" which blew my damn mind
BF4 is either a great time or an incredibly boring uninstall simulator and I've never seen an inbetween

Running better than Pillz told me it might. Unoptimized indeed, but not as bad as I feared. I'm particularly amused by it's statement that it's NOT autosave compatible. That's refreshing, but I'm spoiled so I might forget and fuck myself. But oh well!

playing napoleon wars with ss13 players sounds like a load of fun
I've been playing some Streets of ROUGE recently. It's like a rougelike shooter akin to Binding of Isaac but also partially a classic Syndicate. Still in early access, but it seems promising. You have a handful of kooky characters to pick from: if you're a boring individual you can pick Soldier and gun your way through, but if you like fun you can be Clo...I mean Comedian, and walk around cracking dumb jokes making people follow you - using them as your army.
I picked a cop, got a perk for free follower on each level, and patrolled around arresting suckas.
I'm surprised no one's made a proper syndicate remake (Satellite Reign doesn't count, and it was largely based off the inferior sequel Syndicate Wars anyway)
This is correct
I too hope for a Syndicate remake/sequel/whatever in the same way as Xenonauts was the remake of X-com, and how Cities skylines was to Sim City
I mean simcity 5 was very interesting on paper, but it just became a simulation from what i heard to show off the engine more than a refined game (not talking from experience)
