If you use it in your hand before deploying, it'll stare at you in adoration - and it won't attack you. A fun, if expensive, gimmick is to buy six carp and activate them all at once. Be the carp whisperer.

a long long time ago, i had a notepad file of the UI/UE blocks, what each of them did, and which values gave you which colours, hair styles, etc.
I think genetics got changed or something so it doesn't matter anymore. I lost the file anyway, which kind of sucks since I spent like a good week on it

The ability to create rwalls with RCDs or destroy them? I wouldn't mind being able to destroy them, but creating them will be abused SO BAD now that RCDs can be filled with straight metal.

When RCD's were able to destroy Rwalls there was only one on the station to begin with.

Now engineering gives every engineer one at roundstart. Having them destroy r-walls makes r-walls basically pointless and an RCD becomes an all access tool to everywhere even more than it already is.

Honestly I think the game was 'scarier' and 'spookier' back your not only very new to the game, but that certain 'overpowered' items were on offer to antagonists. Ranging from Parasting to Cloaking.

I like old laser gun sprites over current ones. They were dated, but so was stun prods. And if someone changed stunprods it'd feel weird

It was great.
There used to be a glitch where if you used an autoclicker clicked very very fast and hovered your mouse pointer inbetween the ui of your backpack slot and the screen it would repeatedly play the honk sound at like a million bpm and create a sound of death (like imagine thousands of clown honks all going off at the same time...better yet this is what it sounded like)

edit: I also miss being able to deconstruct walls with just a wrench/welder, I think it's fucking stupid how it is now tbh
edit2: also it's not currently removed but, you can play the guitar, violin, and piano all at the same time : ^ )

I really liked old cryo. The one that knocked you unconcious and had a 2 minute manual ejection. They were amazing for traitoring and actually gave doctors a reason to not just shove everyone into cryo all the time. I do see why people hated it though, getting forgotten in there and not even knowing about the ejection was probably frustrating for some.

Because players absolutely abhor the un-necessary waiting-around of cryo, and even more so the idea of being vulnerable to traitors.

Honestly? I think it was a mistake to remove the unconsciousness part.

Old cryo was awful. Terrible medics would stuff you in there every time you got a scratch and then wander off, forcing you to wait two minutes to get out and keep playing the game.

Besides. Sleepers have always been better, if only because they're faster.

Yeah laying unconscious in a cryo tube was atmospheric. The only change that was needed was to eject you when you are fully healed.

Old cryo was great. Medbay could use them as ghetto prison cells for unruly fucks, or for antags to render people helpless for murder/conversion.
Now medbay is 100% self service, no possibility of other people interferring allowed.

Nah, the best was on escape shuttles that were empty, except for a couple people, and every single dead person was a ghost spinning a chair.

I miss being able to EMP arcades to get them to spit out toys.
They got changed so they now explode when they get EMP'd. I didn't realise this, built an arcade next to the PA to grab a few toys to play with and took out half the front window in front of the PA; I'm lucky it didn't damage the engine itself.

You can still get toys pretty reliably from an arcade machine if you have the ion rifle but we never got a HoS cool enough to let you borrow it.

I remember being able to cheese the Orion trail machines by repeatedly clicking an option before it loads a response to skip ahead and get negative value components.
Also emagging an arcade shouldn't tell anyone it's Outbomb Cuban Pete until it's too late, very hard to kill people that way these days

The lack of varied stuff from the upgraded crusher exploit, it was sweet just managing our own business without having to get so dirty waiting for mining (though i admit the foam dart exploit was shitty)

As much as I support it, it is a waste of time. You know it will be denied. Now, if more items had proper material lists, it might become worth it again to recycle items (a crusher is not actually needed, the Destructive Analyzer transfers materials it harvests to the Protolathe)...Having an item's material list be equal to its research design datum requirement. In layman's terms, make it so that every item can be recycled to obtain the minerals required to build it. Additionally, any item with an origin tech level which cannot be fabricated should have materials in them that seem logical - such as the the Hand Tele containing a small amount of diamond.

Edit: As I checked the code for the hand tele, I discovered that it is composed of 5 sheets of metal. Go figure.

Just make the materials obtainable from all items the same as what it takes to build with a max efficiency auto/protolathe. (if the recycler is maxed, if not then wastage)
The you can look at lower tier lathes as inefficiency, or wastage. Like how Eve handles manufacturing.

Basically, A dildo cannon might have a base material requirement of 100 metal.
The level of manipulator in the lathe would add a multiplier to the mat requirements (t4 would be 1, t3 might be 1.1, etc etc), to give you something like what we got now in term of the cost of making shit, and upgrades.
(ie: base mat cost X multiplier = required minerals)
Then with the recycler, the manipulator in that would have a multiplier for getting minerals back, with t4 again being 1, but with the lower tiers being lower (0.9 etc etc).
(base mat cost X multiplier = recycled minerals)

This would mean if you have maxed proto/autolathes AND recycler, you'd get 100% return on materials, while anything less would result in lost materials either in manufacturing or recycling.
