High Tribunal of 12 Judges Decides Lubing Clown's Fate Nut
Peanut from Yogstation today https://forums.yogstation.net/threads/s ... iza.26675/
Apparently on Yog literally every admin and their uncle gets to opine in on every ban appeal and advocate for a harsher ban???
Just the amount of scrutiny going into the most mundane "clown lubed hallways a bit too much" appeal is so fucking hilarious

This is the second peanut we have to co-opt from another server this week. I think it's high time we banned some people.

Mannn you guys have no creativity man. Hear me out. Byond just added multicore support right? So that means we have what... 7 extra cores we can use? From ONE. Just make the replay function use ONE of those SEVEN extra (EXTRA) cores we didn't use before, and wham, no latency (and FULLY RECORDED ROUNDS).
Can you even FATHOM the sheer amount of fucking logdiving man hours that would be saved with this? Apart from how cool it is - and an entire station ecosystem being played back, is fucking cool.

Rule in question:
Yeah, yogstation is more MRP than manuel1.2: Do not greytide.
Do not break windows to space, electrify doors, steal important items or attack or rob random people, especially those that are AFK or braindead. Do not vandalize areas or break lights excessively. Do not block public hallways. Do not deconstruct shuttle chairs. Do not disrupt security for your own enjoyment. For antagonists, the murderboning rule applies instead.

Recording is both a server issue and a code issue.sinfulbliss wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 5:38 amYeah? Yeah? Do tell orangeman. Give me the scoop on server dev and why that’s a terrible idea.
Apart from how cool it is - and an entire station ecosystem being played back, is fucking cool.

i think the multithreading support was just for byond sending map data to players and not something you can use to code your own multithreaded things

Yeah afaik the functionality that sinfull is imagining (assigning a specific core to a specific subsytem) only exists in his head and he just imagined that was how it works after reading some technical words
Then decided to argue with oranges about it

Sinful exercising goldfish memory and forgetting the last time he went on this kind of arc he got banned from the Player's Club.
