Hard restrictions turned into soft ones (skills limit turned into delays, aim/wield delay turned into an aiming time), somewhat reworked attachements, general channel for marines, slightly reworked marine vendors making req less mandatory, heavily modified prison map, general weapons rebalance, several xeno rebalances, lots of QoL changes... A lot, really, you should check our [https://github.com/ColonialMarines-Mirror/ColonialMarines-2018 GitHub]!

Yes! This is currently allowed under the [[TGMC:Rules|rules]], and you're free to do whatever you want short of crashing the server/ERP after the round ends, keep in mind however the round only ends when the "Round Finished" text comes up.
+
Yes and no. There's an option in character preferences, End of Round Deathmatch, to be teleported to an arena for a little combat at the end of the round in where you can shoot and kill at will. Those who decide to stay behind are protected from grief as if the round was still ongoing.

Questions

Difference between this and CM?

It's hosted by /tg/, it's open-source, and it's meant to be more relaxed and player-friendly. It doesn't follow AvP lore and its design and balance is different.

What are the main changes so far?

Hard restrictions turned into soft ones (skills limit turned into delays, aim/wield delay turned into an aiming time, no brain freezes), different attachments and weapons balance (including lasguns!), general radio channel for marines, reworked marine vendors, heavily modified prison and ice maps, different xeno balance (with new powers and different behavior to several castes), reworked specs, lots of QoL changes... And a lot more, really, hard to list it all. You should check our GitHub!

What are the upcoming changes?

Combat focus changing from stun to disabling, backend improvements to make the game less choppy, vehicles and ships reworks, new factions and roles, overwatch modes rework, and whatever our contributors come up with. We are open-source after all.

How often is the server up?

Usually during weekend evenings. More staff and some code changes are necessary for a 24/7 uptime.

Can I murder/rampage after the round has ended?

Yes and no. There's an option in character preferences, End of Round Deathmatch, to be teleported to an arena for a little combat at the end of the round in where you can shoot and kill at will. Those who decide to stay behind are protected from grief as if the round was still ongoing.

How can I contribute?

Our code is open and both our GitHub and Discord are very active. Come over and give us a hand, we can use people who can code, sprite, map, mentor, admin, do wiki work, or simply help out with game balance, vote on changes or play. Your opinion is important!

Where do I apply for Administrator/Mod, Where do I appeal bans, jobbans, notes or report players?
