In order to reduce griefing and spam in our Discord without forcing everyone to have a verified phone number on their account, we require new members to validate themselves as a /tg/station player before entering our Discord.
In-game method
- Connect to one of our game servers and click on the OOC tab.
- Click the Link Discord Account button.
- Get your Discord UserID and copy/paste it into the box.
- Go back to Discord and send
!tgs verify YOUR_BYOND_USERNAMEas a message. - Return to the game server and click on Verify Discord Account, also found under the OOC tab.
- If everything worked correctly you'll now be able to see all of our channels.
Whats my Discord user ID?
You can get your Discord user ID with one of a few ways. (Main Page: How to find your Discord User ID)
- Clicking this link
- Using the myuserid bot command in Discord (example: @Mrs_Sybil myuserid) (New feature pending rollout - March 24)
- Enabling dev mode and using the new context menu option (see here for a guide on how to do that)
Is there another way?
Not yet, but we are working on providing a way for those with byond-linked forum accounts to auto verify without having to do so in-game.
