Alright so you decided to spawn in as a dwarf. Well the journey isn't going to be the easiest but it will certainly be engaging.

=Dwarven items=
+
First of all turn on the damn lamps, you cannot build anything in the darkness! For all you know you could be surrounded by felinids, ''and we don't want that do we?''
Mostly made with anvils.

==Weapons==
+
==Your first anvil==
'''Warhammer''': powerful 2 handed weapon
+
In the ruin ''(there are 2 version of the ruin, the one that spawns in by default is the bigger one)'' there should be some gold , silver , titanium and wood ores/planks. Pile them up and smelt whatever you need. Your goal is to reach '''10 sheets of silver''' as quick as possible. Humans can come any second and we don't know if they are willing to trade or fight. Grab a pickaxe , an orebox and go to mining! As soon as you get enough silver ore smelt it into silver sheets and create a '''dwarven press''' in '''the workshop'''. Fill the non-silver ore into the sarcophagus. Now your goal is to get 10 sheets of silver ,gold and titanium. If the sarcophagus is recharged then maybe a new dwarf will come and help you. Once you get these sheets put them in the dwarven press and make some alloy. With 10 sheets of dwarven alloy you can make an '''anvil'''!

'''Waraxe''': powerful 1 handed weapon
+
''Tip : If you aren't trying to grief your empire don't make tools and armors out of uranium, it produces a metric ton of rads and kills everyone near you in a couple minutes.''

'''Javelin''': poweful thrown weapon
+
==Alcohol and you==
==Runes and other items==
+
Remember you are not immune to hunger! There is a plot of land and some seeds nearby. You need those! '''REMEMBER TO MAKE ALCOHOL''' if you mix rocknut alcohol with cavewheat alcohol it creates '''manliest dorf''', more powerful version of '''manly dorf'''. Both of these drinks heal you, though the manliest dorf heals you a lot more.
'''Blueprints''': (Never spawn the default ones coz they cannot build anything) - Used to build shit

'''Upgrade kits''': (made in workshop) (~1 sheet of dwarven alloy)- Used to give any item quality component
+
==Meeting other species==
 +
Your primary role on lavaland is to expand, expand '''aggresively'''. Your secondary job is to trade and barter to get wealth. The way you approach humans truly depends on the situation at hand. If the current dwarven empire wants to be peaceful then trade, if you want to go on a full on ethnic cleansing then go for it. '''REMEMBER YOU ARE ALL ANTAGS''', you are just bound by some rules and that's it.

'''Blitz rune''': created a 3x1 forcewall
+
==Brokering==
 +
If you have spawned first, then you might see a small book called ''Brokering 101: Dwarven guide''. If you read it you learn to speak '''ALL''' languages. You are a broker now, a technical ruler of the colony since you are the only one capable of talking to other races! This book should be reserved for people that know what they are doing since you '''cannot make another one of these books'''

'''Earth rune''': targeted repulse spell
+
==Quality==
 +
If you've been crafting in the anvil for a while you might have noticed the weird and new prefixes to most crafted items, such as ''Shoddy'' or ''Normal''. These tell you how good the item is. The more you make these items the more you will develop your '''operating skill'''. If you reach  the maximum operating skill then there is a small chance you might craft an '''Artifact''' a very powerful item with unholy qualities.

'''Air rune''': teleportation to a random nearby location

You are a dwarf. Millenia ago your species suffered a great cataclysm that most likely turned this damned planet to what it is now. You have sealed yourself in this sarcophagus in hopes of surviving the collapse. Oh... you are alive. Well let's get to digging.

Basically you try to expand your influence on lavaland. If miners are dickheads , kill em. If lifebringers reject your supremacy , kill em. If golems steal your god given ores , you guessed it - kill em.

Quick start guide

Alright so you decided to spawn in as a dwarf. Well the journey isn't going to be the easiest but it will certainly be engaging.

First of all turn on the damn lamps, you cannot build anything in the darkness! For all you know you could be surrounded by felinids, and we don't want that do we?

Your first anvil

In the ruin (there are 2 version of the ruin, the one that spawns in by default is the bigger one) there should be some gold , silver , titanium and wood ores/planks. Pile them up and smelt whatever you need. Your goal is to reach 10 sheets of silver as quick as possible. Humans can come any second and we don't know if they are willing to trade or fight. Grab a pickaxe , an orebox and go to mining! As soon as you get enough silver ore smelt it into silver sheets and create a dwarven press in the workshop. Fill the non-silver ore into the sarcophagus. Now your goal is to get 10 sheets of silver ,gold and titanium. If the sarcophagus is recharged then maybe a new dwarf will come and help you. Once you get these sheets put them in the dwarven press and make some alloy. With 10 sheets of dwarven alloy you can make an anvil!

Tip : If you aren't trying to grief your empire don't make tools and armors out of uranium, it produces a metric ton of rads and kills everyone near you in a couple minutes.

Alcohol and you

Remember you are not immune to hunger! There is a plot of land and some seeds nearby. You need those! REMEMBER TO MAKE ALCOHOL if you mix rocknut alcohol with cavewheat alcohol it creates manliest dorf, more powerful version of manly dorf. Both of these drinks heal you, though the manliest dorf heals you a lot more.

Meeting other species

Your primary role on lavaland is to expand, expand aggresively. Your secondary job is to trade and barter to get wealth. The way you approach humans truly depends on the situation at hand. If the current dwarven empire wants to be peaceful then trade, if you want to go on a full on ethnic cleansing then go for it. REMEMBER YOU ARE ALL ANTAGS, you are just bound by some rules and that's it.

Brokering

If you have spawned first, then you might see a small book called Brokering 101: Dwarven guide. If you read it you learn to speak ALL languages. You are a broker now, a technical ruler of the colony since you are the only one capable of talking to other races! This book should be reserved for people that know what they are doing since you cannot make another one of these books

Quality

If you've been crafting in the anvil for a while you might have noticed the weird and new prefixes to most crafted items, such as Shoddy or Normal. These tell you how good the item is. The more you make these items the more you will develop your operating skill. If you reach the maximum operating skill then there is a small chance you might craft an Artifact a very powerful item with unholy qualities.
