The Spitter

The Spitter is one of the masters of ranged combat for the Xenomorph team. Remember that you are also a glass cannon and will best help your team by being ranged attack and support, not by running into melee fights where you can easily be brought down by weapon fire or explosions.

Playing the Xenomorphs Call of Duty man

To engage the marines and make the xenomorphs prevail, you can:

  • Use acid spit to hit marines
  • Poke around corners to shoot at marines
  • Spit acid spray to stun marines
  • Blast scatterspit to put the fear in marines' heart
  • Maintain distance between marines
  • Engage suppressive fire against marines' push
  • Extinguish fire, whether on ground or on xenomorphs, with acid spray

Your acid spit is a fast-flying projectile capable of traveling up to seven tiles. When it hits a marine, it will do damage both from the impact and from the splash it makes as it puddles on the ground. Unlike neurotoxin, this burn damage is permanent until healed. Acid spit has a chance to be blocked by barricades, and will land in front of the barricade if this happens.

Expels acid onto an object or wall, destroying it after a while. If used on wall, a hole will appear after some time. Small xenos can climb through, large xenos can break the wall with the hole on it open. CTRL + click to interact with the acid hole.

During the prep phase, all xenomorphs with this ability get strong acid.

Drone Drone and Sentinel Sentinel, and Scorpion Scorpion have the weakest acid. Takes 8 minutes to melt a hole in a regular wall. Cannot be used on reinforced walls.
Hivelord Hivelord, Shrike Shrike, Spitter Spitter, and Praetorian Praetorian have common acid. Takes 3 minutes to melt a hole in a regular wall. Cannot be used on reinforced walls.
Boiler Boiler, Primordial Hivelord Hivelord, Queen Queen, and King King have the strongest acid. Takes 1.5 minutes to melt a hole in any type of wall.

While neurotoxin is generally not lethal, it will cause pain and slow marines and can have a big impact while supporting other Xenos or fighting on your own.   • You and other spitting-type castes can take down razorwire in little time, making great lanes for crushers to breach with, just remember to communicate since marine engineers can replace razorwires very quickly.
  • You don't do great with many allies, they'll simply block your acid. Stick with a smaller squad of xenos and make sure one of them gets leader for pheros, you'll need pheros with your abilities costing a lot of plasma.
  • More on your plasma, consider asking a drone or hivelord to help you recover plasma faster. You're ranged so you won't need much healing but you will still certainly need the plasma.
  • Don't get caught by stagger, your life relies on you being able to spam your abilities at all times.
